I am a student, selling and exhibiting work - when i buy something I want it to last. I Received this camera bag as a gift and I am very satisfied. Took it to London just a few days ago and it stood up to the cold damp climate, the underground and extended amounts of use. This trip to the UK was a personal test of sorts and this bag passed with flying colors. It kept my D300, two large lenses, my iPod and various other items dry and protected for the entirety of the trip. The strap was strong and stayed secure around my shoulder. The metal buckle clips were sturdy and I was not afraid of them coming undone in a large crowd of people. I took this pack through the airport and used it as a carry on in which i stored my camera equipment, MP3, a 500+ page book, cell phone, my passport and boarding pass and I was confident in keeping all these important items together in this bag. Great little bag and very sharp looking - fit my D300 (larger camera then this bag is advertised to hold) comfortably. I like the Velcro customizable interior dividers, the metal buckles, the four exterior pockets and the metal 'Nikon' badge on the outside. Good bag for toting the bare minimum when you go out shooting: camera with lens, extra lens, film, CF or SD cars, paperwork - Not for your arsenal of equipment..this is for planning a shoot and taking what you need.

Good bag and video is good for beginners to get to know their new camera and basics of it. The bag would be better if it had more padding to protect your camera and equipment. This only reason I would recommend this to a friend is if your low on money and need something for the mean time. There may be better bags out there, but it's hard to compare the item and the price online. I would recommend that you touch and feel the bag in person so you know what your buying. But, it was a gift, can't complain, it's a good bag to start off with at least. It'll get the job done.

Through out these past months of 2011, I never did bought a bag or even have the thought of buying a bag for my Nikon D3100. I usually just have it wrapped around my neck and let the camera bump into things that could actually, well... break it. So I checked out prices at [@] and several online stores that may sell these bags. Yes they had a good price but the bag itself wasn't... well... specially made and very cheap. I came across B&H and as always they had the product that I was looking for. Once it arrived, excitingly, I opened the boxed and observed the bag. I truly am happier with this bag than my cheap book bag, which didn't protect my DSLR from the rain when I was shooting at Sixflags haha. I have a great bag that was worth every penny and my camera, including my lenses, has a safe home to live in. There's a lot of space to plus your additional things in and plenty of adjustments straps. Plus it came with 2 DVDs, which wasn't really a need to have, but it was still pretty cool.

I got the D5100 as gift from my husband on our first anniversary just before our second honeymoon. I looked at the camera in the box and it scared me…It was my first encounter with a DSLR camera, how was I supposed to learn how to handle the camera and take nice photos in just two days?
For my surprise, it wasn't an issue at all… The dvd instructions made everything easier and taught me everything what a first timer needs to know: from how to hold the camera to how take great photos of sports, people and travelling. I loved how the instructions are objective and specific for the camera I got, teaching how to use each effect and mode.
In a couple of days I was already handling the camera with confidence and using all the functions I learned. I started to try new angles, new effects, letting my creativity flow. This was very gratifying. I took great pictures of our trip and my friends were surprised with the results and told me I had become a professional. When I told then that I learned from a DVD they didn't believe me at all. I am not a professional yet but I intend to increase my photo experience even more and this start DVD guide made everything lighter, easier and more fun.
The bag that came along in the kit was perfect for protecting and transporting our gear on the trip. It fits the camera with the lenses kit and 3 more lenses (which we don't have yet but intend to buy and believe me, you will want more lenses too), memory card and all accessories in many different pockets. It's not perfect for daily usage because it's too big, for that I recommend a smaller and lighter bag, but this one is travel perfect!

This is the best price you will find for the bag, which holds the camera and 1 additional lens. Plenty of compartments for miscellaneous accessories.

I only bought the package because it was amazingly low priced. I took it, because I could always add another camera bag to my collection. My "headline" tells the rest of the story.

This bag/DVD came with our D5100. The DVD has some helpful tips, and shows some of the cool functions of the camera. The bag is simple. The nice thing about it is that it has several movable inserts with velcro, that allow you to change the space according to your needs. My only beef with the bag is the metal buckles, which are kind of noisy. I know it's kind of a stupid thing, but it matters to some people.

This is the bag I got free with my purchase of a D5100. This bag isn't bad...easily fits the lense, camera, and many accessories. I also have placed the users manual and a few other items in. I haven't used the DVDs yet.

I like the bag, especially since it came free with my new camera. It holds quite a bit of gear and seems sturdy enough.
The DVD that came with the bag unfortunately doesn't contain any info on my particular camera, the D5100. Oh well.
