Ideal for business, education or large venue installations, the Sanyo PLC-XTC50AL Portable XGA LCD Projector is a super-bright unit featuring a blazing 5,000 lumens of light output backed with true XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution and a crisp 1,100:1 contrast ratio.
Behind these strong core specs is a unit which was built from the ground up to accommodate the professional user who is seeking low maintenance and minimum downtime. It starts with a 2-Lamp System with a choice of Alternating Mode which lengthens lamp life, or the Relay Mode which automatically swaps out lamps when one expires. In either case, this results in a very impressive 6,000 hour total lamp life.
The filter system is given similar attention. The Active Maintenance Filter (AMF) automatically detects an exhausted filter and scrolls a replacement from a supply of ten filters. The system yields one of the industry's longest filter use times before supply replacement of 10,000 hours.
Used desktop or ceiling mounted, the projector facilitates easy installation with Auto Keystone Correction, lens shift and an Auto Setup function that automatically seeks signal sources for PC and video use. Other features include a 12-Language Display Mode, custom Logo Function and a Built-in Test Pattern to aid setting adjustments.
There is an abundance of video input terminals including a DVI-I (digital and analog video), component video and D-sub 15-pin. Input signal compatibility includes up to UXGA, and it is compatible with HD resolutions including 720p and 1080i as well as standard definition (480i / p and 575i / p). The PLC-XTC50AL includes a powerful built-in 3W x2 speaker system, and network control via its RJ-45 connection as well as the optional PJ-Net Organizer and PJ Master, which provide a variety of centralized control functions.
Finally, although the PLC-XTC50 packs a huge amount of power, it weighs in at a relatively light 32 lb. To ensure that it doesn't take unauthorized leave of the premises, the projector employs Key Lock, PIN Code Lock and lock slot security features.

- 2-Lamp System
- The foundation of this 2-lamp model projector was developed with the "high precision optical axis adjustment technology". The technology was further evolved to enable the mirror to automatically select the lamp using a control motor. Lamp selection system makes approximately 6,000 hours of projection possible; twice as long as conventional one-lamp models. When the first lamp is worn-out before the expected time, the lamp selection mirror automatically rotates and the second lamp starts projection.

This convenient feature eliminates time wasted in shutting down and starting up projectors, enabling seamless transition when using multiple units.

- Multi-use Remote Control
- Use the remote control as wired and wireless, or as a PC wireless mouse. Eight remote control codes and selectable pointer shapes are also available.

- Lamp replacement has been simplified to facilitate maintenance. Lamps are accessed via a top hatch. This is especially valuable when the unit is ceiling-mounted.
- Security
- On-board PIN number locks the projector when not in use. Only the designated administrator is allowed to operate on-board buttons and logo-controlled settings. This makes it possible to prevent unintended changes to settings and unauthorized operation by third parties, enabling the projector to be used with peace of mind even in permanent installations, like a classroom. With the Key lock function, you can lock the operation on the top control or remote control.
