I would give this harddrive 5 stars if I had not had so many problems to install it. The setup program never worked, no matter how many times I tried. The attached manual had no information on how to setup the drive and I ultimately had to use the formatting tool of my Mac.
No problem otherwise, just a lot of stress to install it.

Reliable, powerful and quick desktop hard drive! Works with USB 3.0, which greatly increases the working speed. Moreover, supplied with 10 GB of free cloud storage space on wuala. This is useful for me, since it means I can store and share my files without bothering with free storage services with irritating advertisements and often terrible interface. Minimus turned out to be an excellent and very useful purchase!

Well-thought-out device. More than anything I liked the high-quality of the enclosure, its size and how it looks. The aluminum is very stylish, helps to dissipate heat away from the drive. The drive is supplied with easy backup software; the installation of the drive itself was very straightforward. Everything works great.

I needed to expand the storage capacity and decided to buy Minumus. For a 2TB drive it's very compact, only slightly bigger than portable drives. The drive is very easy to use and comes with a nice backup software. In addition I've got 10GB of free online storage space. I would recommend it to everyone!

Only had it a couple of weeks, but I trusted enough to back up all my photos from 1904-today (old family photos - I'm not 107 yrs old!). I wanted a 2T external hard drive without a big clunky piece of equipment to add to the clutter. This is even perfectly flat so other drives can be stacked on it and it's a style brushed metallic finish. Because of the USB 3.0, transferring data to it is lightning speed.

Awesome product! Easy to setup, just a few clicks and you're ready to go. Slick and simple appearance, minimalists will love them. I use it for backing up my GB-worth of photos, still using a USB2.0 but doesn't seem to matter at all. As far as I concern, it's quick, and it's quiet, much quieter than older models by Lacie. I'm sure when I do switch to USB3.0 the copying will get even faster.
The only not-so-good thing about this is, if you're also a neat freak, like I am, in terms of keeping dust off work surfaces, you may need to wipe it every day, as dust seems to draw to it and it's pretty visible against the dark brushed metal casing. But then, big deal! For what it does, I'll buy it again and again, and keep my duster handy.
