Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
We replaced a 10 year old Oki with this printer. We've had it for about 6 months now and it's been reliable. Print quality is good, we use it to make prepress laser proofs for clients, and it hasn't missed a beat. It also has a nice web interface if you use it as a network printer. My main gripes are that the paper tray is small, although you can get an extended tray. Toner consumption is high, even with high capacity cartridges. The waste toner bottle has also filled twice, although it seems you can just empty it, there's a little spring loaded sliding metal door on the top left of the bottle, just be sure to wear a mask when emptying it. Lastly, it seems difficult to find maintenance items such as imaging units, so keep that in mind. Other than that, it's an excellent printer. I would recommend adding some memory, you can get standard DDR2 laptop memory, and it costs less than $15.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
Purchased for home use. This machine is solid and very well built! It's not cheap plastic like most of the other printers built today. The print output is outstanding, text is crisp, photo / picture output is vibrant & colorful. It is super fast and the duplex capability is an added plus. This printer should last for years! I'm impressed with the energy star compliance feature, overall features / functions are too numerous to list. I doubt I could have found a better deal for what I paid at B&H. Way to go Konica Minolta, this one is a home run!

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
This printer was purchased to replace an older Konica Minolta laser printer that did not have drivers that supported my new Mac Book Air OS. That printer had been a work-horse, and had no issues except it became extinct to newer computers.
When researching, I found many laser printers that did not have the page per minute speed that the 4750 has, but cost more... I found others that had no where near the print quality (at a higher cost), and I found others that could not do auto duplexing (at a higher cost). I am very happy with this purchase! I got a great deal through B&H on a high quality printer that could easily sell for 3 times as much.
People complain about the cost of ink cartridges, but ALL laser printers have expensive ink cartridges, and it's the cost of using a laser printer rather than an ink jet. It's also is a big, heavy beast, but again, it's a laser printer... (it is smaller than my old KM) I am sold on Konica Minolta Laser printers!

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
I purchased this printer two weeks ago for 150.00 less than it is currently priced. That's why I give it four stars instead of five.
I could not get the duplex feature configured, so I called the manufacturer and the technical support was outstanding.
It does warp the pages, slightly - but it's easily corrected by applying some weight on the completed pages, if that's an issue. The machine also runs very hot when printing large jobs, like 600 + pages at once.
The factory installed ink cartridges empty after only 1500 pages. To replace all of them with high capacity cartridges would cost $450.00. Therefore, I believe the real cost of this printer is somewhere around $850.00. If you do any large print jobs you will find yourself replacing the factory installed ink within a month or two.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
I had to call technical support to configure the duplex printing feature. Support from the manufacturer was great. Right now I'm printing two large books, each with more than 140 duplex pages. Concern about the paper warping - or exiting the printer bowed - yes, that does happen. I place the pages on a flat surface and put a heavy object on them and that takes care of it. When the pages exit the machine, they're quite warm to the touch, especially for long print jobs. They seem to flatten best when they cool while under some kind of weight. The black toner cartridge that shipped with the unit said it needed replacing after only 500 pages. The cartridge level indicator says there's plenty. I suspect I'll get better results with a high capacity cartridge. I paid [$] for this printer two weeks ago - so I'm baffled with the apparent price increase.

I use this product for graphic design and really am pleased. It was easy to install and prints great! Only thing that irritates me some times is when you are using the feeder with label or photo media, it sometimes jams. Other than that, great machine!

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
I use this printer for all business related printing from letters, brochures to flyers and envelopes.
This printer has most all the features you will need and even more than some higher priced and higher end printers currently on the market. The duplex printing is a bonus. I was ready to print from box to start in under 30 mins. Windows 7 recognised the printer, but I chose to install the drivers that came with it.
An excellent upper mid-range with high end features well worth its cost. This is my second Konica-Minolta printer. I will buy it again and recomend it to anyone looking for quality and value for their money.
There are no problems so far with my MC4750dn. B&H was expedient and shipped it the same day.

4750DN is a more printer than we needed, but I am impressed with the quality and performance. It is a little noisy both when warming up and printing but those are minor compared to the overall value this printer offers.
Set up was extremely easy (connected to iMac)
Print quality - Black and white=VG - Color Excellent
Highly Recommend

This Printer is very fast and has vivid color. The hook up and software load was very simple and easy to understand, it is a shame everyone does not follow this example. The only negative is that it is a little noisy but for the speed at which it works it is something i can over look.
Thanks and i will buy more.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
I am big supporter of Konica Minolta Printers. They are reliable high quality printers with great technical support. I've previously had a 2300DL for eight years and ran the legs off of it. It performed beautifully. That's why I went back to Minolta for a faster color printer (31 PPM). Set up was easy and the Ethernet connection worked the first time. The duplex feature works great and two sided printing is a breeze. This not only saves on paper but reduces the size of multiple page projects. Why put 100 pages in a binder when you can put 50? Duplexed printing looks more professional also. The print quality is very good and is up to Konica Minolta's standards. The footprint is also small for such a powerful printer. The only small negative I can find is consumables prices. So check these out before you purchase so you won't be surprised. Now there are four drums to be replaced (one for each color) at 30,000 impressions so this will be an additional $500.00. The Konica Minolta Web Site is conspiciously quiet on consumables. I wonder why? Anyway, this is a great printer and should be the last one I'll ever have to buy for a small home office.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
This is a very solid, excellent performing printer. Rendering of color gradients is gentle and without visible dither pattern. Text is very sharp without any visible aliasing. Printing is fast. Unit looks very modern.
There is a small concern for home use (small volume of printing) - minimum standby timeout is 5 minutes and cannot be made less; LCD panel glows blue in standby; in Standby printer periodically wakes up and makes some noise, just for a few seconds. All this could be addressed by firmware, I hope.
Manufacturer was helpful beyond expectations when I was trying to pick the best printer for my needs. The support person reserved some time in their lab, printed a test image that I sent via email, scanned it and email me the scan for review.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
We needed a printer with direct feed to handle thicker stock papers, as well as more delicate paper.
This does the job very well. In addition, the unprintable margin is small, which allows us to maximize each sheet.
Haven't use the duplex feature yet. But we will when we run out of stock of double sided sell-sheets.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
The primary reason I purchased this printer is because of the total cost per page. I've not been disappointed in the cost and have been very impressed with other features. The print quality using plain paper is outstanding. The duplex process is all handled in Window's printer window; it's easy to use; and works very well. In addition, I've not had even one paper jam in either simplex or duplex operation. One drawback is that it's a little loud, but then it's very fast, error free, and moving lots of paper .... that still rates a five.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750DN Color Laser Printer:
I am a graphic designer and was looking for a printer to make quick mock-ups of designs as well as print portfolio examples. I was looking for a printer that would a) deliver good quality, b) could handle thick papers, c) does double sided printing, d) is not too expensive to use, and e) is as environmentally friendly as possible.
This printer fulfills all these criteria quite well.
Pros
Fast (once it is going it is quick),
Good quality for graphic design (I use a lot of vector based designs with areas in different colors and different typography),
Different paper thickness possible (up to 200gsm (approx 70lb regular paper),
Double sided functionality,
Postscript 3,
Prints good on plain paper,
It is an energy star rated printer and uses 'Simitri HD toner with Biomass, a renewable organic resource' (while not perfect still better than regular toner).
Cons
Noisy (if you share an office and print a lot, put the printer in the corridor)
First page can take a bit to come out, especially is the printer needs to warm up and the file is big (this might improve with more memory, and a built-in harddisk, but keep in mind other laserjets might still be slower, no idea)
Photo-print quality is not brilliant (it improves if you start tweaking settings, but inkjet is better, still good enough for my purposes though)

Quick and responsive, great color rendition. I really impressed with the print quality. I even use it for proofing photographs.
I only find one issue, that consistently one border is off by 1 - 2 mm. I have not found any fix for this even after talking to tech support.
