I just received this printer and got it set up (no thanks to the idiots at UPS). As a Linux user, the PostScript feature means I don't have to worry about finding a driver; I just point CUPS to the PPD file and go. Color is a bonus, and getting both for this price is awesome!
This a replacement for a Samsung ML-1710 in my home office. I really didn't pay attention to to the "workgroup printer" part of the description. If you're considering doing the same, be aware that this thing is much bigger than a personal-size laserprinter. It also has a somewhat odd design, with 2 unattractive "back" sides; it seems like the designers just assumed that everyone would have a corner in which to put it. It's also pretty loud when printing, so I definitely won't be letting other members of the family print to it while I'm working a few feet away.
From the test/configuration pages that I've printed so far, the quality seems to right up there with any color printer that I've used. And oh yeah, it's fast.
I want to put in a word about KONIKA MINOLTA support. When I first set up the printer, it was printing blank pages (or possibly only the yellow was printing). I called support, we did a bit troubleshooting, and they're sending me a replacement.
After reassembling things, I printed one final test page just for kicks, and every color except magenta was printing. After removing and reinstalling the magenta imager, everything is working great. Unfortunately, support is now closed for the weekend, so I hope I can get ahold of them on Monday, before they spend the money to 2-day ship a 70 lb. printer.
What awesome support!
The only have 2 slight criticisms. (1) A setup this complicated really should be documented with something more than 50-odd drawings. (2) The front panel on my printer did not stay closed when I first set it up. I used a hair dryer to warm up and slightly bend the plastic "catch" that holds it closed, and it stays closed now.

Comments about Konica Minolta magicolor 4750EN Color Laser Printer:
I use this in my office connected to my network & the first page out is pretty quick & all the others are VERY quick. I really like the toner cartridges & toner access. This machine replaced a Brother color laser that I thought had a nice toner system with its pull-out tray, but the Minolta is nicer yet in my opinion. The print quality is extremely good with colors being very even & well-blended even on photos.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of envelope printing. I print all my own envelopes from the multifunction paper tray & it seems like I have to go to the printer for each envelope & press the key on the LCD panel to tell the printer 'yes, the envelope is in the tray'. I can't send multiple envelope print jobs to it without it waiting for me to confirm on the screen. I've looked through all the printer settings available from the driver & also the settings in the Web Configuration panel but nothing has changed this. I waited on hold with Konica for about 20 minutes one day to see if we could resolve this but I ran out of time. Perhaps there is still a setting to be changed somewhere or that I am doing something incorrect. If that's the case, then the setting is WAY too obscure for this tech of 18 years & multiple certifications to figure out without the help of the manufacturer. If there is a settings fix for this issue, I would still take away one star for it being so difficult to find.

We purchased this printer for personal use for printing on thick stock. Even though the printer is rated for up to 110 lb index (210 gsm), it had absolutely no problems with printing on 300+ gsm paper. Impressed with colors and sharpness. Excellent value for the price.

I print my own school & team portrait envelopes and custom session brochures. We also use it to provide proofs to clients and at events. I have used the Magicolor line for the past 7+ years, always the 2000 series. Replaced the last 2550 with this 4750 and am AMAZED. Better quality than the 2550 hands down. It is also very fast, I can finish 100 legal size, 2-sided portrait envelopes in less than 10 minutes. It prints so fast I used all four starter toners in less than 3 hours the first day! Don't hesitate, BUY IT NOW!!!!
