The Canon LV7590 Multimedia Projector is a powerful, feature-rich imaging tool meant for large venues or installations which demand the highest possible quality for a discerning audience.
The basic specs alone are reason enough to purchase this unit. A dazzling 7,000 lumens of light output is backed by a crisp 1,600:1 contrast ratio in tack-sharp XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. With this kind of power, you won't have to worry about high-ambient light challenges. You could probably leave the lights on in many situations such as board rooms to facilitate note taking. But just imagine all of that power brought to bear onscreen in a darkened environment. If you can't get your point across with equipment like this, you probably don't have one to make.
But that's just the beginning. Canon hasn't emphasized power at the expense of valuable features. The fact that the LV7590 doesn't ship with a lens provides an opportunity for you to choose from 5 available lenses. The most popular is the LV-IL05 48.2 - 62.6 mm standard zoom lens (BH# CASLLV7590). The center lens design ensures easier setup than off-center models with and minimum downtime. Besides Digital Keystone Correction, the LV7590 employs powered vertical and horizontal lens shift of the image area.
Color rendering is handled in a unique fashion as well. Canon departs from the standard 3LCD design (red, green, blue) to provide a 4LCD optical engine that separately controls the yellow components of the image. The user also has palette control over specific hues. Up to eight settings with color saturation and gamma adjustments can be stored for specific conditions. The projector constantly monitors the ambient light level, making adjustments in contrast and lamp brightness to maintain rich blacks and crisp, readable whites.
User control is a leitmotif throughout the LV7590's construction. The addition of the optional LV-NI02 Network Imager opens a world of remote function features. Web management of the projector is possible as well as projector function monitoring and email alerts. You can even control up to 100 projectors over a network.
Connectivity includes a digital-to-digital DVI-D interface, as well as a monitor output which is especially useful when using a desktop computer for source material rather than a laptop.
Finally, although the LV7590 packs a huge amount of power, it weighs in at a relatively light 25 lb. To ensure that it doesn't take unauthorized leave of the premises the projector employs Key Lock, PIN Code Lock and Kensington Lock security features.
