The Canon LV7590 Multimedia Projector is a powerful, feature-rich imaging tool meant for large venues or installations which demand the highest possible quality for a discerning audience.

The basic specs alone are reason enough to purchase this unit. A dazzling 7,000 lumens of light output is backed by a crisp 1,600:1 contrast ratio in tack-sharp XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. With this kind of power, you won't have to worry about high-ambient light challenges. You could probably leave the lights on in many situations such as board rooms to facilitate note taking. But just imagine all of that power brought to bear onscreen in a darkened environment. If you can't get your point across with equipment like this, you probably don't have one to make.

But that's just the beginning. Canon hasn't emphasized power at the expense of valuable features. The fact that the LV7590 doesn't ship with a lens provides an opportunity for you to choose from 5 available lenses. The most popular is the LV-IL05 48.2 - 62.6 mm standard zoom lens (BH# CASLLV7590). The center lens design ensures easier setup than off-center models with and minimum downtime. Besides Digital Keystone Correction, the LV7590 employs powered vertical and horizontal lens shift of the image area.

Color rendering is handled in a unique fashion as well. Canon departs from the standard 3LCD design (red, green, blue) to provide a 4LCD optical engine that separately controls the yellow components of the image. The user also has palette control over specific hues. Up to eight settings with color saturation and gamma adjustments can be stored for specific conditions. The projector constantly monitors the ambient light level, making adjustments in contrast and lamp brightness to maintain rich blacks and crisp, readable whites.

User control is a leitmotif throughout the LV7590's construction. The addition of the optional LV-NI02 Network Imager opens a world of remote function features. Web management of the projector is possible as well as projector function monitoring and email alerts. You can even control up to 100 projectors over a network.

Connectivity includes a digital-to-digital DVI-D interface, as well as a monitor output which is especially useful when using a desktop computer for source material rather than a laptop.

Finally, although the LV7590 packs a huge amount of power, it weighs in at a relatively light 25 lb. To ensure that it doesn't take unauthorized leave of the premises the projector employs Key Lock, PIN Code Lock and Kensington Lock security features.

Native XGA Resolution (1024 x 768)
The LV-7590 offers native XGA resolution (1,024 x 768) for your images, making it a perfect match for your laptop computer. In addition, the LV-7590 supports WXGA resolution through high-quality compression, to match the resolution of your wide screen laptop or PC.
7,000 Lumens; Excellent Brightness and Clarity
Shining bright at 7,000 lumens, the LV-7590 is one of Canon's brightest projectors yet. And it's equipped with state-of-the-art 10-bit digital video processing circuitry for smoother gradations and more natural, faithful color rendition than ever before. Together with 3-D Digital Noise Reduction and Intelligent Sharpness Control, these technologies deliver clear, high-quality images even in well-lit environments.
Interchangeable Lens System
Combine Canon's brilliant projector with a wide array of lenses, and you have a combination that will work in every situation imaginable. The LV-7590 can be paired with any of these optional lenses: an Ultra Wide Angle, a Wide Angle Zoom, a Long Focus Zoom, or an Ultra Long Focus Zoom. The wide angle lenses give you big screen performance even with short projection distances, while the long focus lenses let you maintain a manageable screen size over long distances. The zooms allow you to set the perfect screen size regardless of the size of your venue.
Color Control Device
Improving on the traditional 3LCD technology (red, green, blue), the LV-7590 has an improved Color Control Device. A 4LCD optical engine independently controls yellow components, adjusting the quantity of yellow light and automatically tweaking brightness or color reproduction.
Precise Color Management
This feature provides manual control over specific hues in the projected image. The user selects the hue to be changed. A palette is then displayed to allow for changes to saturation and gamma. Up to 8 different alterations can be stored at once. It's an ideal tool for situations where fine tuning color is a must.
Auto Picture Control
This feature makes a projected image easier to see by adjusting its contrast with an emphasis on black tones. It does this by monitoring the average brightness of the incoming signal on a frame by frame basis, and adjusting gamma levels accordingly. This leads not only to a clearer picture with greater dynamic range, but to sharper titles and subtitles as well.
Auto Lamp Mode
If the room lights are off, a careful viewer might see the black areas in a projected image as being a shade or so lighter than pure black. In such cases, Auto mode comes in handy by allowing you to display crisp black tones in a darkened room. It continuously adjusts lamp brightness to compensate for this effect.
Connectivity
Ready for diverse input sources, the LV-7590 offers connection to laptop and desktop computers, DVD players, digital cameras and camcorders, and more- including HDMI devices using a (commercially available) HDMI to DVI adapter. The LV-7590 offers:
  • Digital to Digital DVI-D Interface
  • Monitor Out
  • Network Capability
Operate your LV-7585 projector from any computer on your company's network thanks to the optional Network Imager (LV-NI02). The Network Imager works with standard Ethernet-based networks using TCP/IP and will interface with the LV-7585 with an available firmware update. The network imager offers the user a variety of remote functionality features:
  • Web Management
  • Email Alerts
  • Multi-control: Up to 100 projectors
  • Real Time Capture
  • Network Communication
  • Network Viewer (FTP)
  • Projector Placement Versatility
In addition to being able to project images from the standard upright or ceiling-suspended positions, the LV-7590 can be installed vertically to project images onto the ceiling or floor, or at any angle in between. You can easily project onto a standard screen, or the ceiling or floor within the full 360º range.
    Center Lens Design
The projector's center lens design allows easier setup than projectors with an off-center lens. Just center the projector in relation to the screen center.
Horizontal / Vertical Powered Lens Shift
The projectors powered lens-shift function lets you adjust the height and horizontal position of the projected image with push-button convenience. By shifting the lens itself using the projector's control panel or remote control, the image can be raised or lowered and moved left and right without physically tilting the projector. The image can be vertically shifted up to 40% and horizontally shifted up to 20%.
    Digital Keystone Correction
Even if the projector faces the screen at an angle, you can get perfectly rectangular images thanks to digital keystone correction. Images can be adjusted vertically (within a range of ±40 degrees) and horizontally (±20 degrees).
    Security Features
    The LV-7590 offers 3-way security:
  • Key Lock
  • PIN Code Lock
  • Kensington Lock
  • Automatic Filter Replacement
The projector monitors the speed of air flow through the cartridge-style filter to determine its condition, and automatically advances the filter when needed. Each filter cartridge is good for 10 automatic filter changes before physical cartridge replacement is necessary.
    Quiet Operation
Even with high power and brightness, the LV-7590 is a super quiet performer, operating at 40dB. Silent mode reduces fan noise even further to an ultra-quiet 35dB - perfect for smaller rooms and situations that require a quieter projector, but not all of the LV-7590's brightness. Not only that, but the projector's Fan Control automatically monitors room temperature and in a cooler room, lowers the power to the fan.
    Remote Control
The LV-7590 features an ergonomic remote, designed for maximum usability and functionality. Buttons are arranged for quick access to main projector functions, making projector and presentation control simpler than ever.
    Custom Startup Display
The LV-7590 can be customized to project its owner's logo at the start of each session. With Logo Capture, you can capture and save an image that can be used for the startup screen. Custom logo display not only gives users a way to make a strong impression on their audience, but it may also help prevent unauthorized projector use.
