Need some solid support? The Benro A-0690 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with BH00 Ballhead is a professional-quality tripod with lightweight, high-quality aluminum alloy legs for top performance. In addition, magnesium is used for all die-cast parts. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
This Travel Angel tripod is easy to carry, so you'll have it with you at all times. Travel Angel's unique 180° foldover design allows it to be collapsed into a very compact size that can easily fit into backpacks or luggage. When you need quick set-up, excellent maximum height and a rigid, stable support, the Travel Angel is an impressive performer.
This tripod also features individual leg angle adjustments, anti-rotation leg design, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, anti-dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips.
The included BH00 Ball Head is a lightweight (6.35 oz/0.18 kg), single-action head with a quick release clamp compatible with Arca Swiss QR system, single knob adjustment, and an integral level.

I was overwhelmed by all the choices when i started looking for a tripod. Finally, I made the decision to just shop and read reviews on B&H.com and make a selection. I love the tripod, it makes adjusting the height, angle, and position of the camera on the tripod easy.
The only downside is that I wish they would have an easier way to actually mount the camera on the tripod that doesn't require you to turn the tripod or camera 'round and round. I know this is a standard way to mount a camera, but there must be a better way (I know the Gorillapod has an alternative one).
But otherwise, it is relatively compact, very sturdy, and offers many options. I recommend it!

For the price, the sturdiness of the tripod is rather good. However, it's not as solid and stable for full portrait use, but is good for doing quick-setups when shooting landscapes. Considering its weight, I would have expected it to be a little more sure on its feet.

This is the ideal tripod to travel with. It folds up small enought to fit in any suitcase. It is sturdy enough to support my Canon 7D with accesories. It will work as a table top or full tripod.

A great tripod for the money. I will eventually put a different head on. Tripod is very sturdy but still lightweight. Folds down to a very small size perfect for your bag. Comes with a nice carrying case.
