Need some solid support? The Benro A-1690 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod W/BH-0 Ballhead is a professional-quality tripod with lightweight, high-quality aluminum alloy legs for top performance. In addition, magnesium is used for all die-cast parts--despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
This Travel Angel tripod is easy to carry, so you'll have it with you at all times. Travel Angel's unique 180° foldover design allows it to be collapsed into a very compact size that can easily fit into backpacks or luggage. When you need quick set-up, excellent maximum height and a rigid, stable support, the Travel Angel is an impressive performer.
This tripod also features individual leg angle adjustments, anti-rotation leg design, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, anti-dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips.
The included BH-0 Ball Head is a lightweight (8 oz/0.23 kg) head with a single action, snap-in quick-release system.

This is my first serious tripod. I was mainly interested in buying a tripod that is sturdy, easy to handle, and manageable to carry around. After speaking with a BHPhotoVideo salesman in real life, I had narrowed my options to this one and a few others by other namebrands. I am 100% convinced that I made the right buy.
In short, this tripod is outstanding. It's very sturdy, holds up to the wind, and collapses so small (15"). Its reversible folding legs were inspired by the expensive Gitzo tripods, and boy is it a swift design.
I have 0 complaints. I am able to take loooong exposures via a remote shutter release from a windy bridge in my city. The tripod remains unaffected by the wind; the pictures come out crystal sharp with not a single pixel of observable motion blur.
I cannot recommend this tripod enough.

The tripod was to be used for back country still photography; scenery and wildlife. I was looking for a minimal set-up to carry. As advertised, this tripod breaks down to a very small size. My problem with the tripod was the amount of time it took to go from completely packed to set up for taking pictures. Also, twisting the number of locks took too much time.
Quality of materials and workmanship is excellent.

Comments about Benro A-1690 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod W/BH-0 Ballhead:
The set up/take down of this aren't as fast as my Bogen tripod but it also fits in my carryon which is very helpful. Use this for my rolleiflexes and light DSLR set ups. It's pretty sturdy but not crazy sturdy. The case it comes with is nice as well.
I'll put it through the real test soon with a 10 week trip coming up.

Comments about Benro A-1690 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod W/BH-0 Ballhead:
This tripod is extremely well made, compact, easy to set up and re-fold once you get the hang, excellent quick install/release mechansim and it's a pretty reasonable weight which was a key factor for me. The bag that goes with it is neat and offers the option of just slinging the tripod over your shoulder for shorter expeditions. I will probably be using it more than a heavier but sturdier tripod I already have. One caution though: be careful about the weight rating. I had to learn during the first few attempts to really tighten everything to properly support my camera and a Canon L telephoto lens weighing 5.5 lbs altogether when configured for portrait orientation (i.e., camera hanging at one side). But it works.

Comments about Benro A-1690 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod W/BH-0 Ballhead:
Good for travel, and very well build.
Despite the fact that is a 5 elements leg, it is sturdy, and I already try it for start trails and works beautifully.
It worth every penny.

Comments about Benro A-1690 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod W/BH-0 Ballhead:
I needed a portable tripod, something sturdy enough to be durable, but light enough to carry around with me on photography trips. This tripod meets all these requirements.
It is also light and compact enough to slip into my suitcase when I travel.
It is useful that it comes with a ball head. One less expense!
