Need some solid support? The Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead is a professional-quality tripod with lightweight, high-quality aluminum alloy legs for top performance--plus, one leg is detachable for use as a 4.33' (1.32 m) monopod. In addition, magnesium is used for all die-cast parts--despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
This Travel Angel tripod is easy to carry, so you'll have it with you at all times. Travel Angel's unique 180° foldover design allows it to be collapsed into a very compact size that can easily fit into backpacks or luggage. When you need quick set-up, excellent maximum height and a rigid, stable support, the Travel Angel is an impressive performer.
This tripod also features individual leg angle adjustments, anti-rotation leg design, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, anti-dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips.
The included B0 Ballhead is a lightweight (0.6 lb/0.3 kg) head with separate lock and drag adjustment knobs, a quick-release clamp that's compatible with an Arca Swiss QR system, and a 360° graduated panning scale for precise image alignment.

I'm very happy with these tripods. They are quite sturdy and easy to use. The smaller collapsible length allows me to store them in pelican hard cases very easily, making transportation a breeze.

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
Tripod to travel, small, light and cheap. The ballhead supports properly a D700 + 24-70 or 70-200.
What I'm not sure about is the system to open and close the legs. Hope won't break easily. It's quite faste to open and close them, though.
The tripod gets packed by opening the legs 180º, eventhough you can carry it without do that. In that case, the tripod wouldn't fit on the bag that comes with.
Weight, size and ballhead are the best on this tripod, for an excellent prize.

I have used this on hiking trips and it is great! A sturdy tripod that packs up perfectly. It is a little heavy so for anyone worried about weight go for the CF model. Other than that it is a great tripod at a great price!

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
I was in the market for both a tripod and a monopod because I couldn't decide which I would get more use out of. When I found this multi-function tripod I was ecstatic! Even though it could have been less money to get both, I would rather have this tripod because I want to only have to carry one thing and not have to sacrifice the convenience of having both. I have used the tripod to shoot time lapses and video. The panning ballhead is fantastic for video! Definitely one of the reasons I went with this model instead of a less expensive one. I plan to use the monopod to help support a telephoto or for quick video interviews.
Only complaints are the weight, which is still lighter than other tripod, but not nearly as light as the carbon fiber version. You need to shell out a lot more money for that though. It also is stiff to unfold, but I hope that will get better as I use it more often. It does fold up reasonably small and has a nice carrying case.

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
I am almost 6' tall, and this tripod extends to a perfect height for me. It is compact when folded, and it fits comfortably in my carry-on. The tripod's construction feels solid, but it weighs less than 4 lbs. It provides good stability that becomes even better when I hang my camera bag from the center-column hook. The ball head operates smoothly and comes with a degree scale, which is useful for panorama. It can support weight far more than I ever need, but I am not complaining. A cushioned case is also provided, making this tripod perfect for travel.

On the go, or you just don't want to carry a bulky tripod? This is the perfect solution. This tripod has a great head with macro and micro adjustments. Very light, compact, and you can turn it into a great monopod in 3 minutes flat! No need to look any further for a good tripod for your next vacation (unless you want to spend the extra $ for the carbon fiber). All the adjustability and rigor you would expect in a great tripod, in a light compact travel size.

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
1691 Travel Angel with B0 Ballhead is a great travel companion for small and big SLRs. It's large and tall enough, very solid, well built in details and reasonably priced. The ballhead is small and lightweight but very stable too. Being a travel-oriented tripod it folds small but it's slower to mount due to it's screw-unscrew mechanism (no quick release here). IMO a good travel tripod should be lighter, but this would probably have compromised it's stability and resistance. Comes with a nice bag.

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
I bought this tripod to travel with. Not only is it as light as they say, it perfectly fits in my suitcase and stays protected in the included carrying case. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to flip the legs around to use it for the first time, but after doing it that first time, it's a breeze. I haven't used the mono-pod function yet, but plan to soon.
The Ballhead is superb. My favorite part is the graduated panning scale which makes shooting panoramic shots much easier. Although I bought this tripod for travel, it has quickly replaced my "at home" heavy tripod and will be used all the time. All in all, a fantastic tripod at a very affordable price.

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
I use it with my Nikkor 70-300. Very reliable. Can be mounted prety quickly by turning all the rubber leg lock grips at once for each leg. Nice removable steel spike feet. Mine came without the wrench to attach the feet which is not really necessary. Very good when used as monopod too.

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
I did not used often a tripod because I do a lot of hiking and wildlife photography.
This product was indicated to me by a professional photographer who recently selected it for herself.
It's not bulky, not too heavy and makes it possible to take landscape photos without having to bend .
I think it is the best value for money tripod you can buy and it's likely to outsell more expensive ones which do not deliver more

I SHOOT MOSTLY LANDSCAPES AND WILDLIFE. I use this tripod for setting up for photographing birds.
It is light and folds up so I can carry it in my small backpack.
It would have been nice to have all the legs wrapped, not just the mono leg.But I got some wrap and we fixed that.It could be a little lighter also.No biggy however

Comments about Benro A-1691 Travel Angel Alum. Tripod (Trans-Functional) W/B0 Ballhead:
If you are looking for a small tripod that folds up into an small & compact package (for travel/packing), but can still hold a heavy camera and long lens, consider the A-1691. It unfolds quickly, stands tall, and provides a sturdy platform to shoot from. Although the carbon fiber version is significantly lighter, it is a good tool for the price!.
