Comments about Cengage Course Tech. Book: David Busch's Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Guide to Digital Photography by David D. Busch, Dan Simon:
This well-written book makes up for the shortcomings of the manual furnished by the manufacturer. It starts with the basics (e.g. replacing the Panasonic supplied neck strap), explains the navigational controls, and covers the basic setup of the camera. Then it covers every possible photo-shooting experience- a complete course in digital photography. This book is an essential guide for using the GF-1. I would recommend it without hesitation. Alex Cohen [@]

Comments about Cengage Course Tech. Book: David Busch's Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Guide to Digital Photography by David D. Busch, Dan Simon:
I bought my GF1 unit months before I got this book.Until my GF1, I've never owned anything but a point and shoot camera, so I studied the manual that came with the unit religiously. The manual was very detailed and wasn't user friendly that carried it with me all the time for reference. After reading this book, I was able to tinker more with my camera settings. This book isn't a manual substitute but David Busch did a good job in laying out the camera menus, settings, capabilities, and its hows and whys. The best part of the book would have to be his chapter on lenses. I have 3 lenses (20mm, 14-45mm, 45-200mm) and now I know which one to use for which.Having this book made me a confident GF1 user, and I'm now able to achieve results like the ones I read about from my other photography books.I would recommend this book to anyone who is using a GF1 or is considering to buy a GF1. I never really knew how powerful the GF1 was until I was able to maximize it. For me, buying the book[...]and the customs duties was well worth it.
