AAXA Technologies P1 Jr. Pico Multimedia Projector
With the P1 Jr. Multimedia Projector, AAXA Technologies has radically miniaturized the presentation process to bring you a micro-portable unit which boasts a 15,000 LED lamp life, weighs a mere 4.4 oz and is just slightly longer than a deck of cards or your average smart phone.
The P1 Jr. it's able to project images greater than 50" wide in a darkened space. Even with the lights on, the system is powerful enough to project images up to 20 inches.
The P1 Jr. supports MP4 / MPG / 3GP / AVI / JPEG / TXT A/V formats as well as DivX, XViD, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and RV (8 / 9/ 10) video codecs, allowing you to view presentations and share videos or photos with friends or colleagues. It supports NTSC or PAL color systems and besides computer media sources, accepts data from USB on-the-go storage devices (thumb drives) and from SD memory cards up to 8GB. Best of all, battery life is 60 minutes so you can go cordless or use the AC adapter for powered operation.
The attractive black P1 Jr. Pico comes with a multi-voltage power supply / charger, a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, mini USB adapter, A/V cable and adapter, as well as a tabletop tripod for hands-free operation. Optional accessories include dedicated cables for iPhone, iPod, Zune and Sony PSP.

If you are looking for something high performance, this probably would not be it so I'm not going to rate it as one. If you are looking for something that is very easily portable and can be used with a wide variety of devices, then this is definitely something to consider. Most AV devices have RCA connections, so does the P1jr. I picked up the accessory cable from AAXA directly and it opened up the possibilities even more. I am a bit bummed that there isn't an audio jack but it also makes for 1 less thing to carry.

But then he tried to watch a movie, both one from his own camera and one down loaded from his computer. Again great picture no sound to speak of. Like your last review. No audio out put and not enough sound to watch movie in a group. Also some of the cables were missing.

I really enjoy my product. I love the convenience. I really love the clarity of the power point. I have made alot of purchases, but this is one the best by far. I made a taping of my pastors sermon because I wanted to share it with one of the sick and shut-in members of my church. I was able to download it on my pocket projector and allowed her to see and hear the sermon while it played on her wall.

Did not want to spend a lot of $. Gift for 5 yr old son along with projection screen. Looked at many brands and similar prices. For [$], I believe the best quality picture and small and easy to operate and take on trips. Would recommend to anyone looking for best value around $100.

What I liked was it's small size, and it's portability and recharges.
While cute it was a disappointment! It could read and project some of the images on my camera card, (even Jpeg images that were resized would not always project) sort of a hit or miss operation. It would not read anything from the USB Drive.
Since I own a Mac Computer I had to buy another cable at $20.00 from the MAC Store, it still did not work with my computer. It is rather dim but I was hoping it would work from my projects. So I have to look at another unit.

I'm really surprised that the P1jr isn't rated higher. If you are comparing it to full size projectors, yes, this does fall behind quite a bit, but for [$], it projects beautifully in the dark. I'm actually able to see the details when I have a 36" screen in the dark and connect to my Xbox. Seriously, 36" portable screen for [$], can someone show me something of similar value because I sure can't think of anything. If my friends and I get kicked out of 1 room, we just move the console AND the screen into another!

As it is a small projector it has it owns limits. Works great for transform your home into a home cinema to enjoy it with friends.

It's been a long while since I've seen something that amazes me like this tiny device. I mean, HD TVs are great, but this is like wow! I have so much fun with this taking it down to my Veteran's club on card night, we all just sit around the table and I play a movie right off my SD Card. Even found a ziggy case that holds the projector and 2 sd cards perfectly! It's nice carrying something around that makes all the buds wonder what I got in my hands.

Impressive for the size and price (best price I've seen). The image quality is good, brighter than I anticipated. Fine lines across the image were visible, but not bothersome.
Flaws include the joystick/navigation mechanism. It was hard to press the joystick for "select" without it slipping into a different direction, which felt faulty. The SDHC card tended to overload the device's processing if dealing with multiple files; video would go out of sync if you try to pause/play. Lastly, it does not have an audio out, besides a small built-in speaker. So you're physically tied to the device to hear anything.
A simple, inviting gadget... Probably not the answer to all your needs.
