If you are trying to connect net book , make sure it is set to 720p or 1080.
Resolution like 736p does not work.

Comments about HP / Hewlett Packard Wireless TV Connect:
I purchased this this product for corporate use. We needed to easily connect our HDMI equipped laptops to TV's around our office for presentations and didn't want wires everywhere.
I was a bit sceptical at first but decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did.
This product is awesome, it has quite a good range; I get about 5 meters with good image quality and about 8 with some quality loss.
I couldn't see any lag so it'd be great for gaming.
It does not require line of sight either.
The only down side for me which isn't a big one is that you can't power the receiver via USB, it would have been nice if I could have plugged it into the USB port of the TV.
Also, if you only have DVI, just get an adapter cable, I used it with no issues. Just remember that if you use DVI it doesn't carry the audio.
I highly recommend this product.

We skype our grandchildren on the big screen tv- we all just love it- easy to use. No wires across the living room. Can't say anything bad about it except I thought it was a little pricey.

Hardest thing about setting it up was unpacking it. Works well and provides great picture quality on my big scren tv. Great for games. Having a bit of problem with the sound which means I have to disconnect the hdmi plug from my computer to restore sound to the computer. There is no manual so I will hunt around on the internet for a solution. I like it! pp
