I been using VF-2 ever since I got my E-PL1. It was steep enough to buy VF-2 to begin with but I never appreciated the eye cup came with VF-2. When I finally I saw the release I order it from here. [...] I have to say they should made this piece FREE to already owner of VF-2!! At least with this you can have better shoot on day light or have better fit. With this, you can not use your glasses as cuts off some view but if you want you can. With glasses off, your eye fits well in the cup and all the lights are out ! It is must for VF-2

Comments about Olympus EP-9 Eyecup for VF-2 Viewfinder:
Works fairly well for blocking out light, but you still have to press your face into it more than I expected. Also the rubber is quite stiff, making it difficult to attach to the viewfinder. I was afraid something would break.

With the EP-9 attached to your VF-2 , there is no glare and no washout at anytime. It is the one "must have" accessory for the "Must Have VF-2" for your Olympus EPL-1, E-P2, and E-PM1 digital cameras.

Comments about Olympus EP-9 Eyecup for VF-2 Viewfinder:
It is hard to get on the viewfinder, but it is well worth the effort. This minor accessory improves the already awesome VF-2. I wear glasses and the rubber cup allows me to get a better seal so that I can better see the images.

Really need this item for the VF-2 ELECTRONIC VIEWFINDER f/E-PL1. It keeps unwanted light from entering the viewfinder and allows the shooter to more easily compose their picture. The only thing is that it is not easily installed but if it were easy, then it might easily fall off and get lost.

Exactly as promised. Combined with the VF-2, this is indispensable for the E-P2. Great product.

This was very hard to attach to the viewer. It was made with harder rubber than the ring that it replaces.

Comments about Olympus EP-9 Eyecup for VF-2 Viewfinder:
The eyecup for the VF-2 should be standard equipment with the viewfinder. To charge extra for it is just wrong. This is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. Having said that, this is the perfect (only) eyecup for the VF-2, and makes the viewfinder far more useable. May be a bit of a challenge to use for those with glasses. It is also tricky to fit onto the eyepiece, but that will make it (hopefully) that much harder to lose. If you've got the VF-2, you should get the EP-9.

Comments about Olympus EP-9 Eyecup for VF-2 Viewfinder:
It really helps take glare from peripheral vision and allows clear focus on the subject in the viewfinder. I really appreciate the thing. But be careful in installing it. Be sure to line up the slots on the eyecup with the fins on the viewfinder. It won't fit well if you don't. In any case, it's a bit of a struggle to get it on.

Comments about Olympus EP-9 Eyecup for VF-2 Viewfinder:
Most eyecups are shaped like the eye. This one is not, which prevents it from sealing off light completely.
Not easy to attach either.
