The Cotton Carrier-Lite (Black) is designed to carry a pro series camera or SLR camera with battery grip and an attached lens. It has a heavy-duty, padded waist belt with a 3-point buckle that fits a waist from 20-54". There is an adjustable shoulder strap that reduces the weight strain. A camera tether keeps the camera attached to the shoulder strap or the D-ring on the waist belt. It includes a removable side holster for mounting the camera. A sliding pad on the belt has a touch fastener receiver for an optional 2nd holster.

Comments about Cotton Carrier-Lite for Pro Series and Battery Grip Camera with Lens Attached:
I have rated many, many items purchased from B&H, and this is the first time I have ever given a product less than 4 stars. I was out hiking with the Cotton Carrier when the puck which attaches to the bottom of the camera, in my case my 1DIV, worked itself loose, and the camera fell right from the holster without warning. Thankfully, it fell on a bed of soft leaves or it would have been an expensive repair.
The design is flawed. The simple act of turning the camera to remove it from the holder creates a great deal of torque and will loosen the screw. And I heeded the warning which comes with it. I tightened the screw before I went out hiking.
I do readily admit I did not have the over the shoulder safety strap attached, which would have prevented the camera from going to the ground. However, my opinion is that the shoulder strap was provided because the manufacturer knows full well that these can and will come loose causing the camera to fall.
For this reason, I would never recommend this item. I have the Black Rapid straps, and though they screw into the tripod socket in a similar manner, there is nothing that twists and they have never come loose and I've been using them for over a year now.

As a wildlife photographer, for years I carried a Nikon D300s with a Nikon 200-400 VR with a Nikon 1.4TC on a carbon fiber tripod and a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 70-200 on a shoulder sling. I got tired and achy shoulders. I read about the Cotton Carrier Lite Pro and got it as a birthday present from my husband. Wow! The use of a "holster" style waist attachment to carry my body and 70-200 is great. You need to bend and shape the hip attachment like a baseball cap brim and make the belt tight and the backup shoulder strap comfortable. Tighten the body hitch regularly and it works just right. Takes the weight off your shoulders.
Comments about Cotton Carrier-Lite for Pro Series and Battery Grip Camera with Lens Attached:
This carrier is not anywhere close to what I expected. The way the camera clips to the holster makes removing and replacing it uncomfortable and clumsy. In addition, the lanyard that attaches to the shoulder strap tends to get in the way of the camera as I bring it up to my face. I was hoping for a quick, comfortable way to carry my camera hands free. This is not it. I have already returned it and replaced it with a Black Rapid Sport.

Comments about Cotton Carrier-Lite for Pro Series and Battery Grip Camera with Lens Attached:
Purchased this carrier for use in hiking with my Nikon D200. I wanted a system that would secure the camera safely and free both hands. This is a well constructed device with strong velcro, good quick release fasteners and light weight. However, for me the weight of the camera and 70-300mm lens on my hip proved to be problematic. I found myself twisting to get to the camera for removal and insertion and this movement combined with the weight in one location led to back discomfort. Tightening the shoulder strap helped a bit but not enough. Might work great for someone without back issues. I also discovered how easy it is to bang your camera against something when carrying in on your side or hip. I have since replaced this system with the regular chest position Cotton Carrier and I really love this one!
