The Sunpak 6200PG Tripod w/ Pistol Grip Ballhead is a three-section tripod with aluminum legs, a polycarbonate chassis, and a pistol-grip ball head that facilitates the easiest and quickest method of setting and locking a camera's orientation. The removable ballhead features a quick-release plate for rapid setup changes, with a standard 1/4"-20 stud for the widest compatibility.
The compact, full-size 6200PG is designed to work with full-size DSLR cameras with a total weight (lens included) of 4.4 lb. That load capacity also will accommodate many compact HD camcorders, and the support system might be ideal for using such a camcorder on a shoot that involves static shots that require rock-solid stability.
Along those lines, the three-section legs feature braces for added stability and rubber feet with retractable spikes. The legs and the geared center column raise the tripod to a maximum height of 60.5". The lowest possible operating height is 23.25", and for the ultimate combination of stability and height, the tripod extends to a maximum of 48.25" with the center column retracted fully.

Comments about Sunpak 6200PG Tripod w/ Pistol Grip Ballhead:
Upon receiving the tripod it seemed quite durable, ergonomic by design, and full of features. After closer inspection there are some minor construction flaws but it's possible i got a dud. Thee is a plastic collar that goes over the ball joint and the set screws spontaneously fell out within minutes of taking the tripod out of the box. Luckily I was still indoors and able to find them but when I tried to put them back in realized that the metal piece they were designed to attach to had wither stripped threads or required completely different sized screws which would make sense based on what I've seen.

I have used this only a few times so far but its very stable and the multiple levels really help in keeping the camera flat on any terrain. the only down side for me is its height, its a bit shorter than i had hoped.

Comments about Sunpak 6200PG Tripod w/ Pistol Grip Ballhead:
I couldn't be happier with this tripod! The others that i was looking at were at least 100 dollars and some didn't even come with the head, then i found this one for 50 and the head i wanted so i grabbed it up quick! If you get this tripod you wont be disappointed, its great (unless you expect to put a huge telephoto lens on it cause it wont hold all that weight.
Overal this tripod is great, BUY ONE!!
