Logitech Speaker Lapdesk N550

Thanks to Logitech and their Speaker Lapdesk N550, you can now experience your netbook or ultra-thin laptop at home with a bit more comfort and a bit better audio. Designed for portable computers that are 14" or smaller, Logitech's Lapdesk delivers better comfort and audio by combining a number of different enhancements in a stable, mesh "speaker cushion".

To get started, all you need do is place your laptop on the Lapdesk and connect the built-in USB 2.0 cable to a USB port on your computer. Since the USB connection is plug-and-play, you will immediately have two speakers powered and ready for use. No installation software needed.

Each speaker is outfitted with one 2" high-performance, neodymium driver and together they push a maximum of two watts. The speakers are designed for efficiency so as to not rapidly drain your computer's battery power. For managing your sound, three buttons on the right of the Lapdesk allow you to increase or decrease the volume and mute the sound.

To ensure comfort, the Lapdesk includes a few different design assets. It is heat-shielded to prevent your legs or lap from feeling the heat radiated from your computer. The base of it is made of a soft air-mesh intended to feel good on your legs. Also, the Lapdesk is inclined by ten degrees so as to reduce strain on your neck and legs when you're using it while seated. Although the bottom of it is designed to be soft and comfortable for your legs or lap, it's firm enough to remain stable when you want to use it on the sofa, bed, or even the floor.
