With Panasonic's 0.75x Wide-Angle Lens for Lumix DMC-LX5 (Black), you can broaden your horizons by attaching this 0.75x auxiliary lens and the required Lens Adaptor DMW-LA6 (available separately) to the front of your Lumix DMC-LX5 camera--just screw this lens into the thread and start shooting! Using this wide-angle lens and the lens adaptor, you'll have the equivalent (in 35mm) of an 18mm super wide-angle lens. Compatible with the DMC-LX5K and DMC-LX5W.

I bought this lens to be able to take panoramic shots of natural sceneries, just as I did with my analog equipment for many years. It does the job beautifully and it turned out great pictures. It is equally useful to take indoor shots when you want to give a good idea of room layouts and decoration. It is a must for pictures of historic interiors, as long as it is used properly.
It would have been even greater if it had some kind of bayonet mount that would speed up installation and if once put on, the camera detected its presence and went in "wide angle adapter mode" automatically, instead of having to find some deeply buried software adjustment.
But hey, for the price, the LX5 and this lens make a great combination. When you see the pictures, you forget about the little drawbacks.

I bought this for my Leica D-lux 5. Works great, as promised. Just remember to buy the required lens adaptor DMW-LA6, same as for the Lumix lx5. Great piece to bring on travels, for capturing wide vistas, entire buildings and large interiors. Well made - feels solid. Fun to use. Looks great attached to the camera too.

This lens makes for really wide angle shots. Image quality is excellent, not much distortion. Opteka 0.45x wide angle is also a good option, but this one is better in image quality (also, much more expensive...).
