The KMI MIDI Expander from Keith McMillen Instruments is an accessory that enables use of the SoftStep hardware controller to control MIDI hardware. The expander provides a MIDI In and a MIDI Out and shows up on the computer as SoftStep MIDI Port 2.
Additionally, the item is needed to use the SoftStep without a computer in standalone mode. It will also
work with 12 Step chromatic keyboard foot controller.
