The Lenspen SensorKlear Loupe Kit is a more than handy kit to have around when you want to keep your DSLR free from dirt and other contaminants. It contains all the elements required to not only clean your sensor but your cameras, camcorders, binoculars, telescopes, microscopes, rifle scopes, night vision gear and more.
The SensorKlear Loupe will help you identify dust particles on the sensor surface while the LensPen Hurricane Blower will blow them out. For the stubborn little specs that refuse to be blown out, the SensorKlear II Pen will readily get them off. The tip is concave matching the lens surface on various optics.
Note! Do not use the LensPen on wet surfaces

I picked this up despite the reviews because I was desperate to clean my sensor, and I didn't want to have to send my camera off to a repair shop. Unlike some of the other reviewers, my loupe worked perfectly. There was plenty of light, and I didn't experience any light flickering or short battery life. My view of the sensor was very clear, and specs of dust were immediately visible.
I carefully worked for about 10 minutes to get every visible piece of dust, and a few quick test shots verified that my sensor was indeed clean. Is it perfect? Probably not - but it all reality, there is not a single cleaning method that guarantees the sensor will be 100% dust free.
In short, the product works as advertised, and I can stop fretting about dust on the sensor now that I have a reliable way to get it off. My sensor wasn't that bad, so I can't speak to it's effectiveness in getting off really sticky dust. However, I'm confident that I can avoid any major problems by giving the sensor a quick clean if/when I notice any dust.
My only gripe is that you have to continually rotate the loupe and play with the lenspen angle to get every corner of the sensor. A higher level of magnification would also be helpful, but magnification is limited by the fact that the loupe sits on the aperture ring, and a higher level of magnification would mean you wouldn't be able to see the entire sensor. If you think you need more magnification a higher powered magnifier lamp is always an option. Unfortunately that would mean losing the portability aspect of the kit which is definitely one of its major draws.

I purchased this product in hopes of getting rid of a stubborn piece of fused dust. I had used Sensor Swabs with Eclipse fluid by Photographic Solutions first, but felt I might have a better shot with the lens pen. No such luck. The LED lights on the loupe are pretty weak as others have stated. And the lens pen could not get my stubborn dust spot. I'd recommend for general cleaning, but if you have good eyes, a strong flashlight and the lens pen alone would do the job.

Loupe has a nice protective case and the cleaning tool has a an adjustable handle to give you a great working angle. Batteries included and you get extras. Very nice.

The loupe works fine. The batteries don't fit tight enough to make a good connection, but that was easily remedied. Lenspen works alright, but if you have a lot of dust you will have to repeat the steps several times.

If I could rate it with negative stars I would give this a negative infinity. Rather than cleaning my sensor, it actually streaked my sensor.
DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

Comments about Lenspen SKLK-1 SensorKlear Loupe Kit:
Sensor-Klear Loupe. This is another "anybody- can-do-it" if you know what I mean. The best thing about this kit is the loupe design; it will let you work through the opening on the side while illuminating the sensor with a circle of LED lights. The angle "picker" is a good idea wasted in a useless finish, they should have put a bigger surface tip, with a fabric that could be dosed with cleaning sensor fluid and help to clean the whole sensor instead of putting a felt tip that the only thing that it does is to introduce more dust. The dust blower is what the name implies, a "blower" you are better off using compressed can air. Sensor cleaning can be a long, frustrating, time consuming choir, if you are not in a dust free or clean controlled environment, or if you are impatient, do not attempt this! As a matter of fact, the only people that I can recommend doing this, are photographers that deal with volume photography without much editing. Anybody else can do by going to their favorite camera repair shop twice a year.

The loupe was well-made but the switch doesn't work. The diodes flickered ON and OFF when the switch was ON. I had to return it.
All other items in the box is fine.
Perhaps I was unlucky to pick up a defective unit.

Comments about Lenspen SKLK-1 SensorKlear Loupe Kit:
I was hesitant to make the purchase at first because I was scared to touch anything to my sensor, but after using this kit, I was extremely pleased with the results. The stubborn dust on my sensor is finally gone. The loupe allowed me to see every spec that was stuck to the surface so that I could remove it. I think my sensor is cleaner than the first day I bought it.

IN the past couple of years, I have spent around [$] getting my sensors cleaned. I was terrified of scratching the glass covering plus found that the sensor swabs always left a little residue in the edges. I tried making up a rig with a 4x5 loupe and some small LED light sources, but no luck. BIggest problem seems to be POLLEN....dust will blow off easily, but pollen glues itself onto the sensor.....so I was in BH and there was this neat little set. It is perfectly designed....great price, too. Not for the weak of heart of course.

Comments about Lenspen SKLK-1 SensorKlear Loupe Kit:
The loupe certainly helps to see the sensor. The LED lights helps to see every speck of dust on the surface. The access port on the side is incredibly useful as well. That being said, when using the puffer to knock out the dust, it will likely just fly around because the lupe is in the way.
Also, that lenspen device left a small smudge on my sensor, but it was easily removed with a swab and solution that I've used many times before and is quite effective. The lenspen does, however, effectively remove spots from lenses.

Comments about Lenspen SKLK-1 SensorKlear Loupe Kit:
The system is a good way to clean the sensor. However, there was an issue with the lenspen I received, but B&H was very prompt in taking care of it. Make sure the lens pen is clear of ALL debris prior to use or else you'll be in for a nasty surprise. Aside from that, it is very easy to use and does well when it works.

Battery can't seat properly in the battery compartment. Need to fix it myself to get going. The LensPen is kind of dry and trasnfering dust from one spot to the other. Brower may help but some dust spot just can't be removed

This should be in everyone's bag. You never know when your going to need it, but it sure is nice to know it's in there. Fast easy to use, just try to be in as clean a place as possible(low dust). Great for cleaning the night before a big shoot.

Comments about Lenspen SKLK-1 SensorKlear Loupe Kit:
I must admit, I was a bit scared of cleaning my own sensor even though I didn't have a several dirty sensor. I just had some dust particles that I started to notice in photos. Normally I take it to my local camera shop and they clean it for me. But after seeing a video online and recommending this product I decided to take the plunge and purchase it.
My thoughts? I love this kit. Really does come with everything you need to clean your sensor yourself. Already has paid for itself. Would recommend this product to those that constantly have to switch lenses and tend to get some dust particles every so often. This kit easily pays for itself after 1-2 uses.
The only thing its a bit bulky as a kit, so hard for me to pack into my already packed bag. But then again, don't see much use of trying to clean your sensor outdoors, lol. So I just squeeze the blower in the bag just in case.

Have used this produt a few times now and have found that it does the job it says it will do. I can see the dust particals and maybe not easily but I can remove them. Sensors are not easy to clean, that why we send them in, but this product works as the next best thing. The LED lights allow me to see and the pen does remove the dust. So I am pleased with this product. Only draw back is that everything doesn't fit in the carrying bag very good.

Comments about Lenspen SKLK-1 SensorKlear Loupe Kit:
The batteries that came with the product lasted about 2 minutes. Replaced with batteries bought separately, now very bright. Using sensor loupe, able to clearly see sensor and specs that keep showing up on images. The cleaning tool, with it's adjustable angle and slim design fits nicely through the slot on the loupe so you can see what you're doing. The angled tool easily grabbed the loose particles but still left behind some welded on particles. Loupe comes in handy for wet cleaning too. Nice addition to sensor cleaning arsenal.
