The Smart-AVI DVI-D 16 x 16 Router/Extender is a 16-port non-blocking, digital video matrix switch that allows the creation of 16 computer stations that can dynamically access any of the computers or displays via remote or direct RS-232, IR, USB, or TCP/IP commands. You can also use these command signals for controlling the switch operation. Complete control of the system is possible via easy-to-use Windows-based software.
Incorporating multiple EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) support, the DVI-D 16 x 16 Router/Extender allows the displays to describe their capabilities to the connected computers. Programmable EDID from computers and automatic EDID learning feature from monitors is also integrated into the router/extender.
Single link DVI-D operation at a TMDS rate of 2 x 1.65 Gbps for a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels is provided. DVI-D signal transmission on both the input and output sides of the switch is possible via copper wires to a distance of 30' at a maximum TMDS rate. You are also provided with automatic receiver equalization, output pre-emphasis, and drive level.
