Comments about Genus GWMC Wide Angle Matte Box for 4 x 4" Filters:
Been using this matte box for some time now and im really satisfied with this product. Main points i say that put this over previous matt boxes ive used would be the ability to attach it directly to the lens by using a lens adapter ring. Very helpful when u need to be moving around and not having ur camera fixed on a rig or tripod.

Comments about Genus GWMC Wide Angle Matte Box for 4 x 4" Filters:
I've had other matte boxes that cost 3 times as much and I'm just as happy with this one as I was with the others. It's lightweight and well made. The 67mm lens adapter that I bought with it allows me to use zoom lenses that extrude. The matte box moves with the lens when the adapter is attached.

Comments about Genus GWMC Wide Angle Matte Box for 4 x 4" Filters:
I use this monitor in the field everyday and couldn't be more happy. Yes this monitor is lightweight in comparison to a lot of others on the market but it is by no means poorly constructed. You would be quite surprised how well this holds up against its much more expensive competitors. I would suggest getting the 15mm rod adaptor though, especially if you are considering using this with other add ons to your rig.

Comments about Genus GWMC Wide Angle Matte Box for 4 x 4" Filters:
I was looking for a reasonably-priced matte box for my Lumix Gh2...found the Genus. Solid construction, lightweight (very important when hand-holding the Lumix), two filter trays (one rotating), and the option of snap-on via lens rings or mounting on rods. With accessories, high level of adaptability to most mounting situations. No vignetting, even when shooting with an 11-22 zoom. Would definitely recommend this matte box.

Comments about Genus GWMC Wide Angle Matte Box for 4 x 4" Filters:
Purchased this after much deliberation, was looking for a lightweight, and lower cost mattebox. this fits the bill perfectly.
small issue, which is being resolved, was the back clamp screw decided to break (small cir clips holding it in came off) within 2 minutes of opening the box. genus knew about the issue and was helpful in getting it resolved ..

Comments about Genus GWMC Wide Angle Matte Box for 4 x 4" Filters:
[...]It is very straight forward. I was renting an Arri LMB-5 for the last few months, and I liked the clip on aspect of that box. That is the reason I went for the Genus, as it clips onto the lenses well. I use several different cameras for motion, and I don't always have the convenience of using support rails, so being able to use it directly on the lenses is paramount. Also I use a lot of wide lenses, and this box doesn't crop. I can put a 20mm on my 5D Mk2 with no vignette. And when using the 24mm tilt shift, the box tilts with the lens, so there is no hassle trying to use filters with that lens. Highly recommended.

It's a good solid product for the money - much cheaper than some of the alternatives but does the job. feels solid and robust.
