The Ikegami HDN-X10 HDTV Tapeless Camera/Recorder with Avid Codec, with a 2/3” CMOS sensor and Avid DNxHD (Digital Nonlinear Extensible High Definition) codec, produces HD images at a resolution up to 1920 x 1080. The Avid DNxHD codec compresses 1.2Gbps HD SDI (high definition serial digital interface) signal to the same size as an uncompressed SD SDI (standard definition serial digital interface) signal. In addition, the camera/recorder supports 8bit/145Mbps and 220Mbps compression.
With the built-in CMOS sensor, the Tapeless Camera/Recorder eliminates smear in the image by avoiding vertical charge transfer. Incorporating the System-on-Chip technology, the CMOS sensor features Digital Noise Reduction, Digital Low-pass Filter (passes low frequency signals), and 14-bit DSP (digital signal processing) circuit, thereby reducing random/fixed pattern noise and improving dynamic range.
The HDN-X10 HDTV Tapeless Camera/Recorder features YUV 4:2:2 digital recording to guarantee accurate color resolution to meet requirements of applications such as HD production, and Chroma-key Effects. FieldPak2 removable media features a hard disk drive with anti-vibration/anti-shock to record SDTV (standard definition)/HD (high definition) videos. Fully compatible with Avid NLEs (Nonlinear Editors), the camera/recorder supports editing of recorded material (Video/Audio/Meta-data) by Avid NLE. Eliminating the need for capturing or file copying, the recorder offers improved efficiency. The NLE application displays the saved meta-data in the bin summary.
Using REC button, you can record audio/video to FieldPak2 media with a preset cache time. Even after the button is pressed, a key shot can be recorded after the event is over. Interval frame recording allows for shooting slow moving objects such as blooming of flower, cloud movement, or clay animation. Even if the REC button is pressed during the playback of a clip, the intelligent recording function prevents the played clip from being overwritten and recording of a new clip starts immediately.
