This battery case adds more weight compared to a folding leather case and there is no screen cover. My advice is buy a netbook neoprene cover to complement it since the case makes the ipad1 a bit bigger, particularly on the back of the case. Totally worth it! The kickstand is very useful and sturdy in both dimensions. We use it online (wifi only) for surfing, games and movies and get just under 22 hours before the battery said 7% remaining. Uses a usb mini like just our Sanyo cellphone so only one charger needed when we travel.Charges fully overnight. At this price, anyone with an Ipad mark1 would really benefit from this item - it will profoundly change the way you use the ipad because of the length of battery life.

A must have for the iPad. I use it while traveling at to take notes in class and meetings. The battery significantly extends the time of use between charges. Also, it depletes on board battery first.
