This Sigma EF610 DG ST Flash for Canon is a powerful (guide number of 61) shoe mount flash designed for use with Canon EOS cameras. TTL automatic flash exposure control is available for all compatible cameras. An auto zoom function automatically sets the optimum illumination angle according to the focal length in use (from 24mm to 105mm), or with the built-in wide panel, 17mm.
The flash head can be tilted up and to the right by 90 degrees, to the left 180 degrees for flexibility in using bounce flash, or down by 7 degrees for close-up photography. There's also a manual flash mode, making it possible to set the flash power to full or 1/16 power. A confirmation light keeps you informed as to when the flash is fully recycled, and there's an Auto Power-Off function to help save battery power.

Comments about Sigma EF610 DG ST Flash for Canon:
Flash worked great in every mode but TTL. Tried several of them at the local photo shop on my Canon 60D and all were the same! The auto zoom would shift all over the place and produce underexposed pictures. Overall the flash is good just beware if you have a 60D.

- Worked very well for me in photographing an indoor event
- Has built in diffuser which works well, however in lower light be sure to remove as pictures will still seem dark even using flash
- Very good flash at a reasonable price
- worked good in both indoor and as outdoor fill flash

Comments about Sigma EF610 DG ST Flash for Canon:
This flash is great! I am a cinematographer who just recently decided to jump into photography and needed a good flash for half the price of a canon flash. Which was excellent so that I also could purchase the gary fong lightsphere from b&h as well. The two together work amazingly for me and really make your photos look professional. Swivel head works great. It does take a bit longer to recycle but that really doesn't bother at all.

This is a great beginers flash. I was afraid recycling time would bother me but although it isn't the fastest unit out there, it is day and night compared to the built-in canon flash.

Comments about Sigma EF610 DG ST Flash for Canon:
Just beginning to learn the "in's and out's" of DSLR with a Canon T2i and did not want to spend a fortune on a Canon flash. This product was recommended to me as an alternative by B&H photo. So far it is wonderful and a great product for the price. Maybe one day I will upgrade, but for now this flash is perfect!!!

The unit works great, directions were a bit sparse, it was easy to figure out. Throws a lot of light, and recharges fast.
