Comments about Flip Video MinoHD Video Camera (Black, 1 Hour):
I use this camera for my b-roll footage. I mount this camera to my kayak, ATV or my body to catch POV shots from various angles.
For the price I am happy with the footage I captured and to experiment with. It is easy to use and a great for when you are on the go and want to quickly capture something on camera.

I got a couple of these cameras to leave with documentary subjects, they are great for non-professionals because the footage is easy to upload and share.

Comments about Flip Video MinoHD Video Camera (Black, 1 Hour):
We've bought several of these cameras for our staff to use in our elementary school. They are easy for them to use, portable, lightweight with great resolution and easy software already installed.

Comments about Flip Video MinoHD Video Camera (Black, 1 Hour):
Bought this for my adult daughter to capture videos of our new grandson. Hey, a grandparent's prerogative right? She can throw the Flip into her purse and grab a clip whenever he's stealing the scene. Many have written that the Flip Video camera is no better than an IPhone video and I have to concur. If you have a reasonably good smart phone with video, then spending [...] for the Flip may not be your best choice. However, if you do not have such capability on your phone, or you have not been using your video phone because it's a pain to upload the files, then consider the Flip. It is, quite literally, plug-and-play via the USB. The included software loads upon first time use and is simple yet capable. The s/w provides all that is necessary to catalog, edit and share your clips. Anyone who is even partially computer literate, i.e anyone who can navigate Facebook for example, would have no problem with the interface. The Flip camera itself is EXTREMELY simple. The small size, light weight, and image stabilization all lend themselves toward reasonably jitter free video clips. There is a digital zoom button that give a useful 2X factor (everyone says digital zoom is a waste, but that's for still photos where you can crop after the fact. Ever try to crop a video frame?) You wouldn't want to use the Flip for school plays or soccer matches. Not only because of the limitation of the zoom however. The condenser mic on the Flip only works well for voices that are within a short radius or a quiet room. But for fun kids and pet tricks, or creating grab clips on vacation, this is the right tool for the job. Bottom line: The main reason to get a Flip is to have it on hand.
