Contour Profile Mount (Right)
The Contour Profile Mount gives your Contour camera an even lower-profile than that of other mounts. This package includes 2 right-handed Profile Mounts which fix the camera just millimeters away from the surface you apply it to. Thanks to the 3M adhesive base your camera will be safely secured to any flat surface. The mount can additionally conform to the curves of a helmet and fairings.

I used this mount to attach the camera to my Petzel helmet that doesn't have a flat enough surface for the mount that comes with the camera. It works well and holds up well.
It's a bit tricky to install this by yourself since you need to line up the camera with the helmet on and then take it off to install it. I would recommend having a friend mark it, and then review the test video before permanently attaching it.
Once you put it on there is no going back, so make sure you're happy before you apply it.

Just don't expect really solid mounting of your Contour hdcam. It does still wobble on the rails. Also is not smooth to slide on/off. Why don't they re-design this or the camera itself to have a tough quick release button that a user can operate with gloves on and stays still on its mount? Other than that, what choice do you have if you already bought the Contour?
