The Bosch DVA-12T-04100RA Digital Video Storage Array (12-bay, 4-HDD, 4TB) is a RAID 5 disk array that has 12 bays for hot-swappable 3 Gbps SATA-II hard disk drives and comes with 4-HDD with a total of 4TB storage capacity. For uninterrupted performance, the storage array features hot-swappable components such as drive trays, power supply units, and cooling modules.
Featuring lockable drive trays on the front-panel, the DVA-12T-04100RA Storage Array allows up to 12 channels to be routed through the backplane board. The cable-free backplane design of the modular chassis eases hot-swapping of components even while the system is operational. Data loss during a power failure is prevented, as each unit has a Battery Back Up (BBU) while RAID protection is ensured by hot rebuild and numerous fault correction mechanisms. Multiple RAID configurations are supported by the array and each of the configurations has its own write policy, stripe size, and optimization modes.
The DVA-12T-04100RA Video Storage Array features the Java-based RAIDWatch Manager that simplifies process of array configuration. On-board 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports allow you to connect up to 31 Bosch video servers over standard Ethernet networks, offering cost-effective RAID-based solution for shared storage. Ethernet port allows for local and remote management, and systems administrator can deploy, configure, manage and monitor multiple storage subsystems, locally or remotely. In addition, administrators can also manage multiple Bosch DVSAs from a single workstation as this unit supports WAN/LAN.
The DVA-12T-04100RA Digital Video Storage Array alerts the user with an audible alarm in event of a failure. Depending on the infrastructure, it allows system managers to choose channels such as email, fax, LAN broadcast, SNMP traps, MSN Messenger, and SMS messages to receive status updates.
