This is a roll of 220 Kodak Professional Portra 400 color negative film. It is a high-speed film that can be used in a wide variety of venues and for a wide variety of purposes. It delivers exceptional color saturation and features fine grain and a high degree of sharpness. With this updated version of Portra, highlight and shadow detail are no problem and, as a result of its excellent T-Grain structure, making large prints is not a problem.

For the portrait or fashion photographer, this is a choice film that produces wonderful and pleasing skin tones. If you prefer landscapes or action shooting, this film works well even when your ambient light level is reduced. In addition, the 400 speed offers you more control of your depth of field.

The advanced technology that goes into this film includes improvement in the cyan and magenta layers as well as an enhanced T-Grain emulsion.

Portra 400 is so versatile. I much prefer 220 over 120, it's a shame there are so few 220 films remaining.

If you shoot a lot and can't risk too much of a yellow or blue tint to your film, use the portra 400 it's versatile and has a nice slightly vintage look.

Comments about Kodak 220 Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film (One Roll):

New Portra 400 is all you need. This film will yield usable negatives at -3 stops all the way to +4 stops, however I typically overexpose by one stop for the best color. Portra 400 delivers great skin tones and works in almost any lighting condition while producing very little grain (if any). I shoot this film with an RZ67 and love the 220 roll for 20 exposures. If I could only have one film for the rest of my photography career, this is all I would need.

This newly released film replaces the previous 400NC & 400VC films by Kodak. PORTRA 400 film utilizes KODAK VISION Film technology, and Antenna Dye Sensitization in the cyan and magenta emulsion layers. Illustrious skin tones and spectacular color saturation over a wide range of lighting conditions can be achieved; while remaining fine grain and high speed. Great for portraits, fashion and travel. The sharpness and contrast are impressive. Ideal for scanning and enlargement options.

I have put about 10 rolls of this through my Mamiya 645 and I like the film. It's very similar to the previous Portra films and renders near perfect skin tones while having a fine grain and relatively good saturation.

Comments about Kodak 220 Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film (One Roll):

When done right, this can produce wonderful imagery, and it is especially useful in 220 format considering that it's like any other roll of 35mm film, except it's medium format and has far higher resolution. I've always used this for night shots as well.

Great definition for a pan shot of nearly 1000 students. Used it in a 6x17 camera with outstanding results.

I have not used this product as of this time. I ordered several pro packs from B & H. I usually use Portra 400 NC for the fine skin tone rendering. This is Kodaks latest film product and I am interested to see the results. If works like Portra NC it will be a good product. I am a working pro.

This is very nice Film, the only not so good about it, is that when you try to put it into the roller, is a little hard to get it to stay there, no big deal though. It is one of the best for 220s. Well giving the fact that, there is only few you can really choose from.

Was tired of using 120 film and the frequent loading. Kodak is now my go to film in 400 asa. Beautiful colors and scans well. Grain is also good.
