AV Toolbox AVT-6441 HDMI v1.4 Routing Switcher
The AV Toolbox AVT-6441 HDMI v1.4 Routing Switcher allows you to display signals of up to 4 inputs on an HDMI-compliant display device. It offers 4 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output and transfers data at a high bandwidth of 2.25 Gbps. Fast-switching technology eliminates delay and allows for quick switching. In addition, the switcher also supports all standard HD television formats up to 1080p, PC formats from 640 x 480 to 1920 x 1200, and 36, 30, and 24-bit color depth display. Using the IR remote control, you can select inputs for display and access the OSD to control the system.
With the AVT-6441 Routing Switcher, switching of four inputs is made possible while maintaining all signal components present within the encoded signal, and it also allows you to easily select program material without the need for switching cables. Audio return channel (ARC) support allows the display to transmit audio data to an AV receiver or audio controller, thereby eliminating the need for a separate S/PDIF audio connection. In addition, it also supports embedded HD-Audio, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD protocols as well as HDMI 1.4, CEC 1.4, HDCP 1.1, DVI 1.0, 3D TV. A built-in signal enhancer, which helps extend the range of the switchers, can be turned of via a front panel switch. The switcher weighs 0.19 lb and includes a 5V DC power adaptor.

We needed to add a DVD, Cable, Apple TV to an existing tv which had only one HDMI cable ran through the walls. This allowed us to utilize that HDMI cable without ripping open the walls. Plus since it had a coaxial digital output. I was able to send the audio to a multizone receiver in another room to share the audio.
