Comments about Pearstone CSA-II Shoe Adapter for Canon Camcorders:
Purchased this to mate up a Rode Stereo Videomic Pro to a Canon HF-G10 camcorder. Connects solidly to the proprietary Canon show adapter. Stays tight after several trips in and out of the camera bag.
A word of warning. Be careful not to carry the camera by the shoe adapter or knock it against something, as it locks onto the camera well enough that it would probably tear out the canon mount under undue stress.

Comments about Pearstone CSA-II Shoe Adapter for Canon Camcorders:
The CSA-II is made of plastic, and it holds well. The CSA-II Shoe Adapter slips into the tiny hot shoe of my Canon Vixia HF G10, and I can now use my non-Canon microphone or light (you can't use camcorder's power and must plug the microphone into the microphone input). Now, I don't have to use a hot shoe brace which interferes with the LCD screen or my hand holding the camera.

Comments about Pearstone CSA-II Shoe Adapter for Canon Camcorders:
Other than not fitting tightly into my shoe on my Canon Vixia G10, this works very well. After being a little careful to get it oriented correctly, the lock-down dial gets it firmly into place. Allows me to use my Sennheiser MKE400 microphone.

I own a few RODE Video mics and wanted to use them on my new Canon HF M40s. This little piece allows me to mount them right up top.

Fits great and does the job. Made of plastic but will probably hold up well. Do not want to overtighten.

Comments about Pearstone CSA-II Shoe Adapter for Canon Camcorders:
Awesome little mini shoe which fits perfectly into my Canon VIXIA HF M40's show mount. My external mic fits perfectly on top, snug as a bug in this mini shoe adapter. Highly recommend for those that have the Canon VIXIA camcorders and need a mini shoe adapter!! Fits easily into pockets of your bag or jeans when switching out accessories too.

Comments about Pearstone CSA-II Shoe Adapter for Canon Camcorders:
I got this unit to mount a shotgun and Zoom H4n to the top of my camera which was cheaper than getting a rod support system. I soon found that this unit was made of plastic and so I hate to over tighten it which could easily break something. If this was metal I would give it 5 stars without a doubt!

Shoe adapter fits well with Canon's unique sized shoe. Holds my mic well. It does seem a little large when you attach it to one of Canon's new handheld camcorders.

Comments about Pearstone CSA-II Shoe Adapter for Canon Camcorders:
I use this on my Canon HF 10 to attach a Bescor light, since Canon has its own proprietary "mini" shoe. This adapter works perfectly. Attaches securely. Metal construction would be nice, but this plastic jobby does the trick.

Perfect adapter, allows me to use a range of accessories on my Canon camcorder. This is a very well constructed extension, handles even oversize accessories, and even keeps the dead cat wind screen on my Rode microphone out of view! [...]
