Appears to be strong and well built.
I like the screw down locking feature. I wish it had a lower profile but I believe this is the best Sony hot shoe adapter out there.
I wish they made this in a flat black color and not grey.

I've only had it a few months but it works great. Allows me to attach my Sennheiser mic quickly to my Sony HDR-CX560V camera. I haven't tried the Sony version but this one beats the price. I've been happy.

This hot shoe adapter fits perfectly with the hot shoe of the Sony camcorder.
What I don't like from Sony is if they make this "weird" hot shoe their own size, they MUST include an adapter so we can use normal hot shoe from different brand name.
