The attached strap, padded neoprene grip and rubber foot help you maintain a solid grip on the monopod (and on your camera!).

I bought this for a trip to Disney World and was not disappointed at all! It is so light and small (collapses to less that 15") I carried it in a messenger bag so it was always handy. Also have a Velbron travel tripod that I used and was able to carry both around without a problem. The legs open very quickly and lock easily too.
