Constructed from durable aluminum bar-stock, and finished with a discreet semi-matte black anodized coating - the Universal Shoe Mount is a reliable covert interface between your shoe-mounted device and the intended mounting platform.
The bottom plate is machined flat with a relief cut to ensure strength and a secure fit to almost any flat surface. The mounting hole features the ubiquitous 1/4"-20 thread that's so commonly and conveniently found on photographic equipment. An oversized knurled plastic knob that can be visualized with ease in less than ideal lighting conditions graces the side of this fine mounting solution - turning it adjusts the spring-tensioned side-piece to accommodate various sized shoes and mounts.

I have four of these mounts attached to Manfrotto 5001B Nano Black Light Stands, which I use for teaching at the local community college and camera store as well as portrait photography sessions.
The design of this mount insures no problems of shorting the contacts on your flash, while threaded mounting points permit secure mounting to your umbrella stand or other device you wish to mount your flash on. Adjustable gripping provides secure grasp of the flash.

Product lives up to its claim. Construction is good and price is cheap. Can accommodate a wide variety of flash heads. It can hold them securely from my SB-600, SB-700, SB-900 and my Lumipro.

I use this on my Speedlight stand. It's very beefy and should last a lifetime.l There was an additional little (stabilizing? knob on the bottom that I choose to file off. You normally don't see a gadget this small built as strong as this product.

I use it to attach shoe-mount strobes (Vivitar 285) to an umbrella adapter on a stand.
Since the adapter already includes a swivel, all I wanted was a simple way to mount the strobe without adding unwanted height and complexity.
