The Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI Express Sound Card from Creative Labs lets you expand the audio capabilities of your computer. The card fits into PCI Express slots and offers a 3.5mm mic/line combo input and 3.5mm speaker outputs, for compatibility with a variety of sound sources, speakers, and headphones. It also has optical digital input and output connectors to support TOSLink and S/PDIF multichannel digital sound.
The X-Fi Xtreme features 24-bit Crystalizer technology, which restores the detail and clarity to compressed music files like MP3, WMA, or AAC, ideal for music downloads and Internet radio. CMSS-3D technology provides an accurate positional audio experience, allowing you to enjoy surround sound with stereo headphones. The sound card includes a free download of PowerDVD software with DTS and Dolby EX decoding for watching your movies with cinematic surround sound. A suite of other software titles from Creative are also bundled, allowing you to tap into the sound card's full potential.
