Comments about Davis & Sanford FZ10 3-Way Photo/Video Fluid Head:
With both still and video capabilities in a camera, it's become important to have a versatile 3-way fluid head that can be used for either type of shooting.
The build quality is very good...seems like heavy gauge plastic or vinyl over solid metal castings; this also acts as an insulator for your hands in cold or hot ambient conditions. Movements have a good fluid resistance. The screw-in controlling handles are also of solid construction; 1 is shorter than the other, so you have the choice of which length to use in whatever axis you prefer.
Although some axis rotation options allow for full 90 degrees, others are a bit restricted and only allow slightly less...but this can be worked around by pre-planning your set-up.
I also bought an extra quick-release head for a dedicated videocamera.
All-in-all, compared to other 3-way fluid heads, I think this is the best value on the market at present.
