Carson Insite Digital Video Magnifier
The Carson DM-55 Insite Digital Video Magnifier is a unique and valuable tool for anyone who suffers from any kind of visual or macular degeneration. The DM-55 is unique in its design since it offers you three different ways to look at printed material.
The first way is called Full Color Mode. As the name states, anything magnified will be displayed in full color. The second way is Negative Reading Mode. In this mode the text, pictures or objects will be displayed as white text on a black background. Finally, Positive Reading Mode will display as black text on a white background.
Irrespective of which mode you choose, the DM-55 fits neatly in your pocket and can be taken anywhere - land, sea or air and used as a reading aid. Think of it - in the grocery, restaurants, theater librettos, retails tags in department stores - it will magnify hard to read print and make it readable on its bright and clear 3.5" LCD panel. The magnification level can be easily changed from 1.9x to 13.6x. All you have to do is place the DM-55 over the print and the rest is easy.
The unit is powered via a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The battery can be used stand alone or with the included AC adapter. A handy wrists strap and pouch are also part of the package.
