The Photoflex StarFlash 150W/s Dual 3' OctoDome Kit contains just about everything you'll need for portraiture and group shots both in the studio and on the road.
The heart of the system is the powerful Photoflex StarFlash 150W/s monolight, which is suitable for the professional as well as the aspiring photographer. The StarFlash uses a high-quality German flash tube and a 250W modeling light which can be set to full brightness or proportional to the flash tube's light output. The Starflash has a low synch voltage (safe for digital cameras), recycles in 1 - 2 seconds to full power and has a short flash duration. Power is variable over 5 stops from 1/8 to full power.
The included 3' (91.4 cm) OctoDomes (2) feature silver and gold removable panels, removable front face and inner baffle. They come with a storage bags and StarFlash connectors. The OctoDome is especially suited to portraiture. The unique shape offers a large surface area, wrap-around quality of light and pleasing catchlights in the eyes.
While you can trigger your StarFlash with the included sync cord or via its optical slave, the included FlashFire Wireless Kit is a better option. The 2.4 GHz, 16-channel system has a range of 164' (50 m). Flash syncs up to 1/200 second are possible. The receiver features a built-in hot shoe for on-camera flash units. The FlashFire is powered by a CR2 and 2 AAA batteries (purchased separately).
Rounding out the kit are 2 sturdy Photoflex Medium LiteStands which have a wide, stable footprint and extend to 8' (2.4 m) and a TransPac wheeled case for storage and traveling.

- Using an adjustable wireless signal with 16 available frequencies / channels, the FlashFire has the ability to customize the signal to prevent misfires in crowded settings or areas that have conflicting frequencies and can fire from a distance of 164' (50 m). The kit includes a FlashFire wireless trigger and 2 Flashfire wireless receivers. Batteries (CR2 x1, AAA x2) are not included.
