The Benro Travel Flat A2190T 5-Section Aluminum Tripod is a solid support for a medium-format camera or a DSLR outfitted a telephoto lens, with a maximum load capacity of 26.4 lb. The tripod features a two-section center column that can be removed for low-to-the-ground shooting: Simply attach the head directly to the 3/8"-16 screw of the magnesium-alloy chassis.
With the center column attached and extended, the tripod reaches a maximum height of 66.1". The non-rotating leg design ensures that you can set up the tripod quickly and easily at a moment's notice.
When it's time to fold up, the lightweight aluminum legs of the A2190T fold down flat – somewhat like three fingers on your hand – thanks to an innovative chassis design. The included custom carry case snugly fits the 16.9" folded tripod & center column, with room for a head (not included). For travelers and campers, this compactness can make all the difference.

Comments about Benro Travel Flat A2190T 5-Section Aluminum Tripod:
I bought this expressly for upcoming travel to Africa. I wanted something small, sturdy and not too expensive should anything happen to it. For the price, I was not expecting too much so I was very pleasantly surprised when I began to use the tripod. It is well made, solid and is indeed extremely compact. It's only marginally less sturdy than my older Gitzo GT2530LVL and the Arca Swiss ballhead that I have been using on the Gitzo seats excellently on the Benro. I am very happy with this product.

Comments about Benro Travel Flat A2190T 5-Section Aluminum Tripod:
I videotape school sports events. Most pressboxes are poorly designed when it comes to using a tripod for taping purposes. To get the playing field in full view the front legs of the tripod are set on a ledge or window sill. Every solid video tripod I have found is about two feet tall when collapsed. This height usually results in a poor view of the viewfinder as well as a stiff neck! Although it was not the intention of the manufacturer I put a high quality fluid head on this unit. The short collapsed height and solid construction of this tripod have solved the camcorder height problem. It works very well in adapting to my special conditions.

Comments about Benro Travel Flat A2190T 5-Section Aluminum Tripod:
The big advantage to this tripod is that it weighs very little and holds a lot of weight. I've been using a 4 leg CF tripod for travel and am replacing it with this one. For the same weight - a couple ounces heavier, it's all aluminum with no fear of the dreaded carbon fiber crack sounds. The metal tripod leg inserts are a big plus but they and the extension tube add weight. Putting everything together in the case makes it just over 5 lbs while the basic tripod alone only weighs 3.1 lb. If you're looking to minimize, the basic tripod will lay flat in your luggage really well. If weight is important but not critical, having the extension and the carry case and metal feet plus wrenches makes it a very versatile unit.
One negative - no center ring to hang a weight from or suspend a battery pack. That's the only drawback to this over others that have a loop or hook on it someplace. I like to hang something from the center to help keep it from toppling in a jostle or wind.

Comments about Benro Travel Flat A2190T 5-Section Aluminum Tripod:
This is a great tripod. Solid, sturdy (rated for 26 lbs.), 66" height and compact enough to easily fit in any carry-on suitcase. I've had a Cullmann Magic II flat tripod for years, which I used for travel and thought was great ... until I got this one. This Benro A2190 is infinitely more stable, much higher, better built and better design. As a pro shooting travel, landscape/wildlife and stock, this is the best travel tripod I've found. It is about time a tripod manufacturer figured out a simple way to build a flat-design travel tripod that folds small enough, is sturdy enough and extends high enough to be really usable for serious photography. Kudos to Benro.
