The Leica Eveready Case (Mocha) is a form-fitted leather eveready case designed to carry a Leica D-LUX 5 digital camera with a cutout for the optional D-LUX 5 handgrip to be mounted on the camera. The case functions as a classic eveready case with the base in place during picture taking and the front cover added for storage or protection. There is a removable case included for the D-LUX 5 viewfinder that is mounted on top of the camera after the cover is removed. The case is carried by a strap supplied with the case.

Comments about Leica Eveready Case for D-LUX 5 Digital Camera with Handgrip:
This case looks great, it's nice and functional. The magnetic cover reduces the wear on the items.
Biggest down is there's no additional attachments to store additional batteries and memory cards.
Also you MUST have a handgrip in order to use this. Without the handgrip, the Everready case WILL NOT fit.
Also, in order to access the battery, you have to remove the entire case.

Comments about Leica Eveready Case for D-LUX 5 Digital Camera with Handgrip:
I ordered this case for my new D-Lux 5 camera, However this case did not fit my camera. The screw placement was off by an inch or so. My husband has the D-Lux 4 and D-lux 4case and it fits great, its nice to have it in a well protected case, and not have to have the lens cap on constantly. I am hoping to find one that does work with my camera.

Comments about Leica Eveready Case for D-LUX 5 Digital Camera with Handgrip:
The case is excellent quality; typical of Leica. However, from a functionality standpoint there are drawbacks. For example: 1. the leather strap is permanently attached to the case. If you use the camera without the case -- you must attach the separate strap which came with the camera; or leave that camera strap attached all the time --- cumbersome. 2. the case is designed to use only if you have the extra grip attached - therefore, it's of limited use. 3. no storage for extra memory cards/batteries. >> suggest Leica redesign the leather strap so that it is attached to the camera not directly to the case
