This Photoflex FlashFire Wireless Kit is a radio remote system which allows you to trigger your flash or studio strobe at distances up to 164' (50 m).
The beauty of the system is that it doesn't depend on "line-of-sight" communication between the transmitter and receiver. That means that you can trigger the flash through obstructions like walls, doors etc. Forget about that tangle of dangerous PC cords and potential damage to toppling equipment.
Both the FlashFire Wireless Trigger and the FlashFire Wireless Receiver operate on the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. 16 selectable channels virtually eliminate interference or overlap with other photographers on the scene. And neither are energy vampires. The transmitter runs on an easily-sourced CR2 (not included) with a battery life of approximately 20,000 flashes and has a handy hot shoe for shoe mount flashes. The receiver runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included) with a standby time of up to 45 hours. The system can be used on any flash unit with a 1/4" (6.3 mm) phono jack.

Comments about Photoflex FlashFire Wireless Kit:
They work great. I use just one flash ( Canon 430 Ex ii )so they allow me to move the flash ANYWHERE POSSIBLE. Alone with a diffuser or on stand with Softbox. Great range. You have to power down the flash to 1/32 and warm up the flash. After 1 burst you can crank up the power to 1/1 and rock out.

Comments about Photoflex FlashFire Wireless Kit:
I was looking for a "low cost" but good solution for wireless flash. I have multiple wireless access points in my studio which seemed to cause interference at first, but once I adjusted the dip switches I found a frequency that worked in the environment. The product works as expected, firing the flash when it should. I did notice once the batteries in my flash became low the performance became spotty. The flash would still fire if directly on my camera but using the Flashfire kit it would only fire once every three tries. A fresh set of batteries resolved this issue.

Comments about Photoflex FlashFire Wireless Kit:
If you want to increase your performance capabilities when you shooting with artifical light, this kit is your choice. It does not coast very much, so you can begin your experiments without some thoughts. But even you are professional, this item will not disappoint you. But remember, that first of all it's a basic kit, and some people need for more capabilities than this kit can give.
Works very well, but a weak construction may be a little disappoint for somebody. Also it could be more useful to work with 2AAA batteries instead of CR2

This unit works good. If you want a remote to fire you your flash unit to play around with this will work. However if you want something more professional you will need to spend a lot more money.
