Requires a Photoflex FlashFire transmitter for use.
This Photoflex FlashFire Wireless Receiver is part of the FlashFire radio remote system which allows you to trigger your flash or studio strobe at distances up to 164' (50 m).
The beauty of the system is that it doesn't depend on "line-of-sight" communication between the transmitter and receiver. That means that you can trigger the flash through obstructions like walls, doors etc. Forget about that tangle of dangerous PC cords and potential damage to toppling equipment.
The FlashFire Wireless Receiver operates on the 2.4GHz bandwidth with 16 selectable channels to virtually eliminate interference or overlap with other photographers on the scene. It's not a battery vampire either. It runs on 2 easily-sourced AAA batteries (not included) with a standby time of up to 45 hours. It can be used on any flash unit with a 1/4" (6.3 mm) phono jack.
| Bandwidth | 2.4GHz |
| Range | 164' (50 m) |
| Flash Sync | 1/200 sec for focal plane shutter, up to 1/250 sec for leaf shutter |
| Battery Life | Up to 45 hours standby (AAA x2) |

Added this receiver to my Transmitter/Receiver kit for a second wireless flash. Once I had tuned it to the transmitter using the dip switches it works great.

I added this second transceiver to my second Starflash mono strobe. With the trigger on my basic Nikon D40 I am taking photos that are studio quality! The lighting is outstanding and no sync cords needed! So far it's been working great and I have no complaints.
