My necessary features were: To Be light weight, hold some decent weight (a camcorder and my leaning on it) have only three sections, have quick-to-open flip-locks, and most importantly- a hot shoe that would pop on and off quickly. (Many higher-end ones, you have to screw off [for 20-30 seconds]. I don't want to miss any action. I need one that pops off and right back on easily. And I did not want to spend more than $50 on it. I bought it hesitantly, because I had not heard of the name brand before. But it has surpassed all my expectations. The hot shoe works great, It came with a wrist strap (a plus) and a pretty nice [padded] case! For under $50, this is the only monopod to consider. If you need to hold more than 20lbs, this might not be for you, but for 99% of the photographers, this is a great deal.

I use this monpod for supporting my d7000 and a 300mm f4 lens. In my case (being disabled) I find the monopod easier to move than a tripod. I also use it as another cane. Comes in handy. In my case I cannot fault it,

Easy to attach to camera...works great. I'm using this on a Canon Rebel XS with a Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 Lens. The Monopod attaches directly to the lens.

This product is fantastic. I use it mainly for wedding videos, while filming at the reception. I don't have to worry about an obtrusive tripod to get a steady shot. Furthermore, with the quick release plate, I can detach from the monopod and go hand-held quickly. Its a very solid design and well built. No complaints!

This tripod is very sturdy and the quick release is really nice. Even though it is made for video cameras, I use it with my DSLR and it works quite nicely.

For fast action when you want a steady hand this is the perfect companion. I just recently purchased this monopod for a wedding I was shooting for a friend. Being an outside reception it was very handy to have when taking pictures in the dark tent and later on when the sun went down. The quick release makes it very fast and versatile. Really happy overall.

I was documenting a summer group of students. Much of their trips were up trails in the hills. Fist day I lugged my tripod up and thought "there must be an easier way!". That night I logged on to B&H, seeking a mono pod of good quality that was at a price that would not dent my pockets. I found this one, and so far, I am very pleased. Sturdy. Nice foam hand grip, and the quick release plate was on point!

Comments about Acebil mp-50v 3-Section Aluminum Monopod:
I use this product to stabilize my camera when shooting sporting events. It's lightweight, easily portable, and comfortable to hold. The only complaint I have about it is that it didn't come with simple instructions. For example, there is a red latch that is a locking feature but I don't know if it is locked or not and I don't know if I have my camera securely fastened on... It feels secure, but I may not have it on the correct way. Instructions or a pamphlet about the product would have been nice to have with it. Otherwise, it is a great product!
