BP48V48RT4U, SMART2200CRMXL and SMART3000CRMXL include hardware for 2-post rackmount installation; most other rackmount UPS systems and battery packs include hardware for 4-post rackmount installation.
The Tripp Lite Shallow-Depth External Battery Pack for UPS System (48 VDC) extends the battery runtime of compatible UPS Tripp Lite systems when used with a 48 VDC external battery connector. It offers compatibility with Tripp Lite UPS systems including SMART1500CRMXL, SMART2200CRMXL, and SMART3000CRMXL, and offers a battery lifespan of 4 to 6 years.
In addition to a black steel cabinet construction, the Shallow-Depth External Battery Pack features a heavy gauge cabling with high current DC connector that offers easy installation. The battery pack features daisy-chain compatibility for multiple connected battery packs. It supports rackmount applications in a 4U rack space.
A shallow-depth (16.75” / 42.55 cm) rackmount case design makes the External Battery Pack suitable for extended runtime applications in wiring closets. It is equipped with hardware for 2-post rackmount installation, and supports installation of an optional 4-post rackmount with the addition of 4 POSTRAILKIT accessory kits.
A 20.5” (52.07 cm) cable with UPS specific DC connector is used for connection with the UPS system. A set of additional input / output connectors allows daisy-chained configuration for multiple battery packs that offer extended runtime.
