Impecca MP1827 Digital Media Player (Red)
Impecca's MP1827 Media Player (2GB, Red) is a budget-friendly way to stay entertained. With the 1827 you can store up to 2GB of music, videos, photos, eBooks, and voice memos to the internal flash memory. Should you need a break from your stored content the MP1827 features an FM radio as well.
The MP1827 has a 1.8" LCD display for menu navigation, video and photo viewing, and other media information. A built-in rechargeable battery keeps the player going, while the USB or the included AC adapter allows you to charge when needed. Multi-language support, sleep mode, a customized EQ with 7 presets, and the ability to encrypt and partition the disk space add to the 1827 Media Player's list of features.

I had to buy it. It met all of the criteria. It's RED and it plays music and video. My 4 year old loves it.
Unfortunately, it feels flemsier than it looks and the video is grainy. We may be replacing it within 6 mothns, but it's a good starter MP3 player.
