Comments about Acebil T30G Tripod System:
I am a professional filmmaker that mostly shoots music videos and concerts along with the occasional commercial spot. In my 30+ years of doing this I have learned a few things about purchasing and using pro gear.
1.) If an item is made for professional use and is labeled as such it will cost you an arm and a leg.
2.) You get what you pay for - so if you try and save a buck it may end up hurting you later if it can't handle the abuse of shooting.
3.) Only purchase something if you will use it often enough to justify the cost. (it must be a money maker - not a money taker)
The hard part is trying to find the perfect balance between these rules. The T30G Tripod from Acebil strikes a perfect balance. It is sturdy and durable enough to withstand the rigors of constant use and abuse (and strong enough to hold all the extra weight your camera and accessories require) - And it costs alot less than competing products.
A decent tripod and head will make you money. That's a fact. But you have to make a good investment in a good product - or you will lose money. This tripod is a perfect addition to my toolset!
It comes with a nice carry bag. The tripod is built tough enough not to need it - so I use the bag to carry my 4 foot slider instead.
The only thing you may want to change - buy a cheap stretch cord to secure legs for travel - the pullout zip type cord at bottom doesn't do the trick.
