Comments about Acebil RMC-1DV Video Lens Zoom Controller:
We definitely needed the controller for the jib. Comees in handy, a little overpriced. There are less expensive ones I saw on other sites after I had already purchased this. First time using a product by Acebil, so far so good.

Comments about Acebil RMC-1DV Video Lens Zoom Controller:
I bought this controller to use with a Canon XH-A1s. I have a Cobracrane mini-jib and this controller makes it easier to control zoom and rec/pause when the camera is out of reach. The XH comes with a remote control, but I've found it to be inconsistent and sometimes difficult to work with (especially if I am working with more than one camera).
My only complaint is that the controller only does variable zoom -- the XH has an option for constant speed zoom that I use more often. However there does not appear to be a way to use this controller with a constant speed setting.
Overall it works as advertised and controls the zoom and rec/pause of my camera well.
