It is compatible with Sony HD cameras with the AV/R Jack, and has a clamp distance of 0.39-1.18" (10-30mm). The Mini A/V Remote Jack has a cable length of 20" (510mm).

I added this to my Sony HDR camcorder with AV-R jack. Mounted this on my Manfrotto tripod. It works really well. The rocker style control lets me zoom in/out at a good speed, not too jerky at all. Well built. It's a perfect companion to my Manfrotto leg/head combo.
