Comments about Zoom Telephonics X6 ADSL 2/2+ Modem with Wireless-G Router:
I bought this ZOOM modem/router to replace my much older Westel C90. I needed a WiFi connection for a B&N Nook. My connection speed is faster which was to be expected with the technology I was using. The ZOOM modem/router was very easy to set up. I just read the directions and things went as promised. I strongly recommend you save the provided excryption key in a safe place! It prevents much hair pulling later.
It's connection is rock solid without glitches. I doesn't require periodic rebooting. I just works! I am very pleased as I was approaching its installation with some trepidation. As a disclaimer, I live about a mile from the local telco switch so I don't see much signal degradation.
I have owned ZOOM products in past years and was pleased to see the corporation has maintained the quality of its products. Name recognition is one of the reasons I purchased this modem/router versus an unknown brand. I am immensely satisfied and give it a strong recommendation. I can't see any negatives with it. It's easy to use and does what its designed to do. Nuf said!

Comments about Zoom Telephonics X6 ADSL 2/2+ Modem with Wireless-G Router:
I purchased this unit to replace a 9 year old SBCGlobal (ATT) DSL modem, based on reviews I had seen that indicated this unit was compatible, which is was.
The unit was fast and easy to set up, with almost no interaction required by the user, although there was full manual functionality for those with higher technical/security requirements.
For the average home user, the auto setup features are all one needs, which will provide adequate security for home use.
Lastly, this unit is not just a DSL modem, it is a router with 4 ports as well as wifi capabilities.
I am extreamly satisfied with this unit and would recommend to anyone.
