Comments about General Brand DYR Lamp - 650 Watts/220 Volts:
I use this bulb in my Lowel Omni light for overseas video work in countries that have 220-240 volt electricity. Unlike today's power converters for laptops and other electronics, lights don't come with this converter. In the old days we use to haul heavy transformers to step down the electricity from 220 to 110. Just changing out the bulb is much easier and less weight to haul. Just make sure you carry 3 or 4 spare bulbs with you on each shoot!

Just completed a six day shoot in Iceland and the 220v 650w lamps worked fine.
