The CS-15S from Roland is a compact microphone that provides high-quality stereo audio in a lightweight and portable design. The microphone has a cardioid pickup pattern for clear recordings. Ideal for use with a variety of devices, the mic has a standard 3.5mm mini plug. When used with recorders such as the Roland R-05 or R-09HR, the recorder will supply power to the mic. Comments about Edirol / Roland CS-15S Compact Stereo Microphone:
I have an Edirol recorder [...] and its user guide recommends this microphone. I bought it hoping to record lessons for my web site. The mic is excellent for that purpose. The sound it captures is rich and full, far more than I even need, but I am glad to have it. The pick-up area is very small, which I like. My guess is that it will not pick up any sounds beyond four-five feet, which eliminates a lot of ancillary sounds I won't have to edit out later. I speak into it from just a few inches away and it comes out great.Really glad I made this purchase. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.
